Inspirations for my next builds
These are some inspirations for my next two builds! Hope to be able to learn everything needed to bring them to life as seen in these images. First build will consist of 4 independent “bedroom” units and one living room unit with a big wooden/glass panel door that brings the outside into the home. Two of the rooms will be bedrooms, one meditation room and one library reading/contemplation/writing space. So 5 structures all close to one another- a little family compound. The second build is an adu that we will rent short term with a little dipping pool and a Greek theme. Gonna be so fun to see these come to life!

This is how I envision each building being “connected”

Thanks all, I find it helps me to get some inspiration from what others have done and then add my own touches. I’m looking forward to seeing this come to life!
What will you do with your cobin?
Hi community, I'm curious what you all plan to do with your new space? We would like to build 4 of them. One will be a healers hut where we can offer massages and spa treatments, a dark room therapy cabin, and 2 conjoined by an outdoor kitchen and living room for a home for a single mom. I'd love to hear your plans.

I’d like to have a meditation space as well as a guest suite for friends and family to stay. And then once my skills are sharpened it would be great to build a really nice 4-5 all connected for a complete home. I’m thinking more of a traditional rectangular shape though.
What up!!!
HI, we are Colin and Tiffany and we just opened a new wellness center in Costa Rica. We are wanting to learn about this so we can build unique structures on the land.

What part of CR are you in? I’ve visited Santa Teresa and few times as well as some other areas north of there- beautiful country and people.

Hi Miguel, I’m currently in Orlando Florida but frequent Maui and Encinitas. Looking forward to building some designs I posted in the general discussion. Thanks for creating this community for us all to connect and learn together.

@Kelly Kelsey what part of the island are you on? My wife and I spent a lot of time in Moloaa- such a beautiful island.

Hi everyone! Very happy to be here. I’ve been interested in natural building for a decade and previously built an Aircrete structure. I’m excited to build with more natural materials and to learn how to do clay plasters and other natural finishes! Currently in Florida finishing up a traditional townhome renovation and then traveling back to Maui and Encinitas :) Here is a photo of our previous property in Hawaii and our under construction Aircrete structure in the background.

@Rachael Moss it’s an interesting way to build but I wouldn’t recommend it, unless you buy autoclave aerated concrete from a professional manufacture. It was so much concrete and a really toxic process in some ways. I’m really looking forward to working with natural materials with Miguel’s building style.
