A real help !
I want to share with you a rather interesting experience. In my work, I have to analyze large technical documents sent by companies. I am delighted to discover that with Claude AI, it is possible to do this work in a very thorough way. It really helps to provide direction. That said, it doesn't do all the work, but a big part of it. No regrets for this PRO subscription, easily worth it.

@Călin Sas anthropic should pay us :D

@Washington Travassos , Claude is amazing. Just pay attention on extrapolation and fabrication of sentences. As any LLM it will add some contents from outside the perimeters of your documents. Good prompting is of course important, but challenging Claude on its own analysis is even better.
Top tips (reverse tip-top) to narrow your LCOE – from an operations perspective
I’d like to open a practical discussion focused on what truly reduces LCOE over the lifetime of a solar asset. No buzzwords. No glossy presentations. Just the operational decisions that consistently make or break performance. The logic is simple: the more optimized your production costs are, the stronger your IRR. Revenue strategy and trading merit a separate topic. Here, I’m interested specifically in the operational layer: Where do we gain the most efficiency? Where do we silently lose it? And maybe the more uncomfortable truths: Where do EPC shortcuts cost you for the next 25 years? What does “bankable performance ratio” even mean in practice? Which suppliers survive the warranty period and which… don't. I’m looking to gather what actually works in the field, across regions, climates, EPC models, and asset sizes. So, from your experience: What are the concrete practices that consistently reduce LCOE?And where do operators commonly leave money on the table? Let’s go real :)

@Călin Sas what comes to my mind is that if we could correlate "quality" with the parameters in the LCOE equation (at the moment they are treated as independent to each other), then we would find beautiful surprises. For example, if you increase the O&M budget, you could have the same LCOE or even lower as it has a positive effect on other parameters. (attached an example I created to explain the concept)
Solar fully Automized
How far is Solar Industry from going fully automized, EPC and Maintenance? What do you think?

@Prihandono Aditama here is the image with actual estimated level of automation

@Prihandono Aditama I wrote a series of posts on linkedin on bottlenecks. Here is for AM and trading https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:share:7379031554141896704/ I copy it here as well 💼 Why AI Won't Fully Automate Solar Asset Management (Yet) Asset management and trading show 70-90% automation potential through AI-powered analytics and algorithmic trading, promising cost reductions and increased trading revenue. But this knowledge-work domain faces unique challenges that technology alone can't solve. 📜 The Regulatory Complexity Reality: Energy markets are undergoing rapid transformation with frequent rule changes and new market products. AI systems might struggle to adapt to novel market structures or interpret ambiguous regulations without human guidance. During transition periods—which are constant in evolving energy markets—the need for human oversight limits projected autonomy significantly. ⚠️ The Risk Management Dilemma: Energy trading involves substantial financial risk. Organizations are reluctant to delegate high-value decisions to autonomous systems due to governance and liability concerns. Regulatory frameworks may impose limits on algorithmic trading in critical infrastructure markets to prevent systemic risks—similar to financial market circuit breakers. 🏢 The Organizational Boundary Problem: Effective asset management requires coordination across multiple entities: asset owners, O&M providers, grid operators, market participants. While AI can optimize within organizational boundaries, cross-boundary integration involves complex commercial relationships, data sharing agreements, and conflicting incentives that resist full automation. 📊 The Data Quality Gap: AI depends on comprehensive, high-quality data. In reality, data remains fragmented across systems with varying quality and standardization. Legacy assets have limited monitoring capabilities, while proprietary systems create integration barriers. These limitations reduce AI effectiveness for significant portions of existing assets.
PV + BESS design and monitoring
Hello everyone, I think this is a long shot, but does anyone in this group work with DC coupled PV + BESS? We are interested in the PV + BESS design aspect, but also the operations and monitoring. For example: - What tools does the industry use for designing such systems? Is it a siloed process (e.g., PVsyst for PV and maybe an excel spreadsheet for the BESS) or are there any integrated tools out there? - What about the monitoring? Is that still siloed? - Separate KPIs? Thanks, Marios

Which market segment @Marios Theristis ? Dc coupled pv + bess utility scale is still under the "innovation umbrella".
100+ Members
🎉🎉🎉🎉 Yesterday we passed 100 members with @Jason Hooi being the 100th. And this is just in a week from launching the community. Lucky coincidence, that we both started the same year at the same company our O&M journey. Or maybe not, this community is a place where many can connect and reconnect. Just by looking at the members from beginners to veterans, from sales to advanced research and everything in between. These 100+ that we make the community, we also reflect how diverse and complex is operating, maintaining, managing and upgrading solar plants. I love to read this quite often in comments, that we need to work more together and I am proud to see that we here are building those bridges. Thank you all for being here and fueling this community with the best in each of you.
