Injuries 🤕
Last weekend I worked all Saturday, and my left wrist was bothering me a little, but nothing bad. Then by noon on Sunday, I was in debilitating pain and a muscle in my forearm was swollen like an egg. I haven't done proper line work in about 5 months, and didn't stretch or warm up, so I think if I did that I could have avoided this. What do you do to avoid repetitive motion injuries? By the way, looks like a case of De Quervain's Tenosynovitis, and here's a link to a good video about what to do if you feel this as well: https://youtu.be/Dvdko_emB4M?si=vL_NDoKo1DzX8S_5

the good thing is, the strength training of your fingers and thumb can be done with scrap balloons!

I'm trying to make videos of balloon artistry at events and birthdays, trying to offer something different and build a channel. The problem is people seem to only want to watch the process of the balloon being made and not anything else. It's tough!

@Destiny Maurer the trick with gigs and line work, it's not so much what you think but how you sell it to the crowd, more often then not you could create something that in your mind looks nothing like it, but to a kid it's magic! A kid asked me for a aeroplane goose hybrid. There is no tutorial for this, but I pulled it off! Could I remake what I did? No! But the kid and parents were super happy with it!
Glow stick balloons!
Anyone had luck with glow sticks and 260 balloons? Apart from swords and longer items anyone done anything else?

@Kevin Bice it's a different world here, not as big and there is no tip culture, if you offer services for tips here. People give almost nothing, so I do it to promote myself and if people want to tip, they tip. I'm looking to make YouTube videos of me to help supplement when I do this. It's tough!
