Warhammer Quest Darkwater
Hello and thanks for coming along! Merry Christmas! This set was my gift to myself…it’s not a selfish act, my wife has NO clue about my hobbying needs or wants…nor does she have any interest (unless I’m getting paid for a commission!) This is quite the box set. 49 miniatures (my adhd brain is already set to panic mode) made up of lots of lovely Nurgle boys and then several good guys…(I’ve not even looked at yet!) So far so good. I’ve opted for the Ninjon (follow him on IG and YouTube) method and started with bold colours to ‘under paint’ This is a technique that you really do have to trust the process, as when you first start it can look ‘all to shit’… Colour choice is key. Bold Colors that will show through the final layer of paint, giving you some really nice contrasting shadows and detail. Build up thin layers of colour on top of the base layers, using the original shade to steadily add depth and texture. The result is actually pretty effective (I hope you agree!) Of course Nurgle are great for this technique as you really can go nuts with colour and make them as disgusting as you want! In the coming weeks I will post tutorials how to achieve the effects (pictured) and easy ways to Make your minis stand out without putting in days of work!
