Playing the right notes isn’t enough!
Yo, something I want you guys to start thinking about: at some point, just playing the right notes isn't really the standard ya should be shooting for. Obviously if you play a wrong note, that's a mistake. We all understand that. But what if you play the RIGHT note and the tone sounds like crap? Or one note randomly jumps out way louder than everything else? Or you cut a note off too early? Or you're playing a chord and the melody is completely buried? Those are mistakes too! I think one of the biggest changes that happens as you get better is that you start raising your definition of what counts as a mistake. It stops being "Did I play the right notes?" and starts becoming "Did that actually SOUND the way I wanted it to?" That's a much higher standard, but it's also where shit starts sounding really good. Where are you at with this right now? P.S. If you feel like you're stuck at that first/second stage and want my help figuring out what you actually need to work on, you can book a call with me here

I think I’m somewhere between 2nd/3rd stage, where first I focus on getting the right notes and memorizing the piece, and then I work on getting it to sound the best I can.
Looking for a new guitar
It's all in the title ^^ I used to play on an Alvaro N°50, as the nut was worn it was unplayable so i bought at christmas an Alhambra Z-Nature CW EZ before to begin this course, the neck and fret spacing are much more comfortable to play, but the sound is far inferior to my Alvaro if I don't plug it in. I repaired the nuts from my Alvaro but discover that the neck has warped after more than 10 years of playing so it becomes harder to play on it even if it's not impossible. As my priority now is to buy a new laptop to be able to record anywhere whith my actual eventful life, my Excalibur project with Evan Kingman will need to be postpone ^^ So I'm looking for precious advices to find a reliable instrument, good sound, comfortable to play, durable quality, and important detail, 20 frets to allow me to try to learn to play Sam's arrangement of Rito Village from BOTW ^^
