Responsible Reading
I'm looking for a great reading material about the AI and tech worlds, with a focus on the human / responsibility factor. Found this list and I'm wondering if anyone has read / can recommendation? Responsible Tech Summer Reading List 2025 — All Tech Is Human

Reading articles and books are a good way to form opinions. I always like to think of core values that guide thinking and actions regardless. Here are a few: 1. Human Dignity: Ensuring that AI technologies respect and enhance human dignity. This means prioritizing the well-being, privacy, and rights of individuals in all tech interactions. 2. Transparency: Maintaining openness about how AI systems work, the data they use, and the decisions they make. This fosters trust and accountability. 3. Equity: Ensuring fair and unbiased use of AI, avoiding discrimination, and actively working to reduce inequalities in tech access and outcomes. 4. Accountability: Holding both developers and users of AI accountable for the impacts of their technologies. This includes mechanisms for recourse and redress in cases of harm. 5. Sustainability: Considering the broader environmental and social impacts of AI. This includes energy use, ethical sourcing, and promoting positive societal contributions. Perhaps these values could help ensure that the use and development of AI remains ethical and human-centered. @Michael Schwarz Are there values shared by and guiding this community?

@Michael Schwarz I fear that this competitive frenzy to being first out of the gates and pressure to not be left behind will leave many on the side of the road. I guess the concept of equity clearly loses to capitalism. What does it mean to be human? Thanks for starting this discussion @Jen Bauer

Covid? That sucks. Thanks for sharing. What strikes me are the fees! So much for ChatGPT, so much for this and that program per employee. Can you do a post about the cost for employee and which tools are essential? Like anything, it also takes a while for these investments to pay off, that is, if they are fully utilized.
Meditation, Presence, and the Fast Track of AI
Entrepreneurs are always looking for ways to move faster, grow smarter, and stay ahead. Ironically, one of the clearest and healthiest ways to actually get ahead—and stay sane—is through meditation. We know it reduces stress, sharpens performance, and keeps our physical, mental, and emotional health in check. But here's the real question for this group: How do you—@Michael Schwarz or any of you here—stay truly present when your mind is constantly jumping to how much better and faster things are getting with AI? How do you avoid cutting yourself out of the human side of “playing the game” when everything around us is being optimized at lightning speed? Sometimes it feels like if you're not caught up, you're just an ant watching giants fly past. For me? I like cutting the grass the old-fashioned way. I get hot, sweaty, then drink a cold glass of lemonade and admire the yard. Would love to hear your thoughts. How do you balance being with building in the age of AI?

“Hi, I’m David, and I’m a workaholic ;)” It becomes a problem when I start neglecting my health, my loved ones, and my environment and when I’m so “in it” that I can’t see the forest for the trees. We all have similar brain chemistry when we’re “on”. The “Zone” is fuelled by intensity, purpose, and momentum. Funny enough, so is being chased by a bear! Meditation is just one way to rebalance. But even that can become an obsession, just like work. Obsessive tendencies don’t disappear, rather, they just change targets. True peace lies in cultivating mindfulness and developing an internal locus of control. It’s not about escaping the current. It’s about choosing when to step in, and when to step back. We can become masters at navigating rapids and so skilled that nothing else matters. We lose sight of our families, our community, and perhaps even the treacherous waterfall ahead. But the river isn’t going anywhere. We can learn to appreciate it without always being in it. Now you’re going to say that AI is different, and therefore you must be different. Be careful to not become the thing you are trying to tame, it can consume you to no end..
Are AI Companions Disrupting Human Connection? A Must-Watch Perspective
Hello everyone, I wanted to share a compelling video from the Clayton Christensen Institute, an organization I have been following that is committed to helping leaders transform entire sectors through rigorous research and community empowerment. What if the next big tech disruption isn’t in transportation or finance, but in our ability to feel truly connected to another human being? As AI companions grow in popularity amid a global loneliness epidemic, they’re beginning to fill emotional gaps that used to belong to real-life relationships. This short film explores the growing influence of AI on human connection and challenges us to act now before bots redefine how we relate to one another. Curious to hear your thoughts: - Are AI companions solving a problem, or deepening it? - How do we balance innovation with protecting what makes us human? Looking forward to the discussion. Best, David
Connectors: Best Practices
Ok, now that connectors are here, what are all the different things we can do with them? I went deep into research, and created a little slideshow to show you everything I have learned in the last 24h about ChatGPT's new connectors. So cool!!

@Michael Schwarz most entrepreneurs need to meditate to reduce stress and optimize health (physical, mental, emotional). How do ‘you’ stay present when you are always thinking of how better things in this space will inevitably get with AI? How do you not cut yourself out of playing “the game of life” in a future that can optimize everything to the point that not being up to speed reduces you to an ant amongst giants? I like cutting my grass with a mower, getting hot, and drinking a cool glass of lemonade while appreciating my yard work? It’s the only way of getting out of other things @Sun Ah Brock wants me to do around the house 🤣.
