Learn Linux FIRST 🐧
Did a poll on YouTube this morning. At one point, 5% of people said Linux isn’t required for DevOps. I go deep on this in my DevOps Roadmap and other YouTube videos, but let me save you some time: šŸ’» If you want to work in DevOps, you need to know Linux. Not casually. Not surface-level. Actually know it. ā˜ļø Every cloud provider 🐳 Every container šŸ¢ Every real-world job They all run on it. It’s not a bonus skill. It’s the foundation. If you’re skipping Linux, you’re skipping the job. Why do you personally think Linux matters?

@William Vaughn very simple .. ein nice Ubuntu or Centos with WSL on Windows and you have your Linux System ready to go.
What’s the best move you’ve made in your tech career so far?
Let me hear your story. Maybe it was learning Linux? Maybe it was switching jobs? contributing to open source? or sending a DM that led to a good opportunity? For me? At the end of my first DevOps internship, I quit. They offered me a junior role but the pay wasn’t even close to market value. I almost said yes. Just to play it safe. But someone gave me advice: Don’t settle out of fear. I looked elsewhere, and I’m glad I did. This laid the foundation for me to start freelancing later. What about you? Lets hear it.

Help.
Can someone please advise me? I transitioned into tech a year ago and have learned AZ-104. I’d like to know how I can build a career in Cloud/DevOps. I often hear people say AWS is the best, while others recommend Azure. I'm really confused.

More wins
I was aiming to finish Kubernetes fundamentals this week. However, i took a strategic pause in my Kubernetes journey to master one of the most critical areas: networking and services. I dug deep into ClusterIP, NodePort, LoadBalancer. Not just what they are, but where and how they’re used in real-world scenarios. Using this knowledge i was able to convert my docker media stack that contains jellyfin, file browser, and other components into Kubernetes. I was an amazing experience
