New Year's Resolutions?

Hi everyone. We've come to that time of year where some may be planning some hopeful changes as the calendar changes. Other than getting closer to God, which could be the obvious answer here, what are some of your hopeful changes you are planning on seeing in the next 12 months? My big hopeful change is to live out 2 peter 1: 3-11 as best as I can. It is a very proactive passage that i believe will change my life in so many ways. What are you planning?

Well there is alot going on there but the last 2 verses of that passage have me turned on to it. i will be spending one month starting maybe in feb through maybe june or july focusing on 1 characteristic per month and just finding ways to proactively become stronger there for example, virtue, it is basically defined as moral excellence so I will not just be studying how to be morally excellent but also I will do things that will show moral excellence. Anything to take my unecessary distractions away, thats what I want to do to have a better year in 2026 than 2025. There are the other verses before and after the characteristics verses that i want to know better also. The proactive part of Christianity is the part I have dropped the ball on. So in a nutshell that is where my heart is going into the new year

@Jessica Pennington I agree. resolutions are demoralizing because the term resolute means you have to be strong about it so once you fail you feel it. lol so i just say changes or goals for the new year. i have spent too much of my time on unnecessary distractions its time to proactively pursue Him. Thanks for your encouragement
