After hearing the word "cancer," I almost went silent. Instead, it woke me up. In 2017 I sat in that doctor's office and heard words no man wants to hear. And in that moment I had a choice — fall apart, or take the wheel. I chose the wheel. Because here's what nobody tells you after a diagnosis: You still have power. Power to ask questions. Power to change your habits. Power to own your next chapter. A diagnosis is not the finish line. For me — it was the starting gun.
