We had not long moved to the house before where I live now, I had noticed switches being turned on that I knew Iβd turned off the night before, I am super anal about switching everything off before leaving the house or going to bed. Our downstairs arrangement was a double room with no dividing wall so there were settees in the front room and the dining table in the back room but it was all connected. We had just finished breakfast one Sunday morning, my wife was upstairs with my younger children preparing for cathedral, my older son aged about 9 at the time was sat on one settee on his iPad, I was still sat at the table in the rear part of the room looking at stuff on my phone. Suddenly the light shade directly above the table smashed violently from the left as if it had been hit by a brick. I shrunk underneath it and recall turning to my son and we both sat watching the light shade swing from side to side. My wife hearing the noise from upstairs came running down to see what happened thinking I had fell maybe, but there was nothing other than the still swinging light shade. In that rear room we had mirrors facing each other on opposing walls and I think we had already been reading up on paranormal stuff due to the switches being turned on and learned this was a no-no, so I immediately took one of the mirrors down. My wife told a work colleague what happened the following day and her colleague told her of the time she had bought an ornate antique bed frame and a little boy followed her home from the park a day later. The boy kept visiting and at some point she went to see a medium. The medium came to the house and claimed to make contact with the boy and asked her about the bed which threw her completely as she hadnβt mentioned it and she told her to get rid of it which she did and the boy was seen no more. We had been given a wardrobe and set of drawers by my brother as we had not longed moved in and needed furniture. We got rid of all the items he gave us and the mirror and nothing after that occurred in the 4 years we ended up living there. The light shade was swinging like a baseball bat had been swung at it and there was nothing in the room, like say a bird had flew through the kitchen window and into the back room and hit it. True story.
