Almost at 500 members! 🙌❤️ (+ a new 'Recommended Hotels' video)
Just a massive thanks to all of you for joining my Edinburgh Insider's group early. Up to this point, the group has been totally free and will remain FREE FOR YOU GUYS FOREVER. However, after we hit 500 members, I'll be going all out to make this group amazing. I'll be adding premium content, services, discount codes, etc to the group. This means that new members will be charged monthly. The revenue will allow me to build a real business and give you guys better and better stuff for free in the process. 😎 BTW, I've just added a video I made before Christmas showing you guys my top 10 hotel recommendations. My wife and I worked really hard on this to make sure they were unique, thoughtful and varied choices. Hope it's useful. Loads more to come. This is just the start! @Amanda Cody you might also consider the Virgin hotel if you want to be in Old Town. It’s right on Victoria Street in the middle of Old Town, the service is great and the breakfast buffet is very good. The bar is great as well, even if only for a nightcap. I recommend a castle view room. We ran into Alan Cumming in the elevator during our stay. So that was fun.

@Amanda Cody I hadn’t realized you were booked already. Motel One is certainly not a bad choice given its location and amenities. The inside is broadly contemporary in style with Scottish “touches”, but everyone and everything around you will keep the Scottish vibes in full effect regardless. We looked at that hotel on our last trip as a possible location for a later trip due to its proximity to Waverly Station, but just weren’t sure if it’s high traffic location would be noisy at night. You’ll have to report back because the location is really one of the most convenient would be ideal if it’s not loud at night.

@Amanda Cody marketing and gimmickry aside, the food is delicious and the vibe is cool. But there are a lot of places in the city that are comparable or maybe even better. It’s worth eating there once if staying there though, if for no other reason than to have the “full Witchery experience.”

@Amanda Cody no worries. I didn’t take it as dumping. If they weren’t so effective at social media, I would have spent a lot less on my trip to Edinburgh last time! 🤣
Weather
I am reading alot on the weather how is it in April. Coming from a very hot humid climate with mozzies by the bucket load would love to be able to go outside and not get over heated or eaten. Have we chosen the right time april

Any hope of those blossoms being in effect the last few days of March?
Cemeteries
Some of my favorite places to wander when visiting a city are cemeteries and Grayfriars Kirkyard doesn’t disappoint. The quiet, the interesting headstones and vaults, and the occasional visitor who reminds us that we all eventually become food for a crow. 🥴

@Andy McCallum I think we have our newest recommendation for folks visiting the city - have a spring or summer picnic in a cemetery. 😊. I’m game for that!
Is Mary King’s Close worth visiting? 🤔👀
Here’s my super honest review of one of Edinburgh’s busiest attractions👇 https://www.skool.com/edinburgh-lovers-2707/classroom/e72803d5?md=9a7b194657644af2a86a0e532bf1335c Please comment if you’ve been and agree / disagree. Priority is letting the group members know where best to spend their money. This is soooo subjective, so if your experience was different please please please let everyone know. But as usual, honesty is the value here ❤️

I’m so glad that your review confirmed my reason for not doing the tour the other times we’ve been there. But I think the Catacombs in Paris set the bar and ruined us on the spooky factor of any future underground tour. 🤣
