This leads to: • getting ghosted • frustration • questioning if you’re even good enough! After helping mid/senior devs double their salaries and land jobs in 3–4 weeks, here’s what I’d do instead: • Make your LinkedIn profile more professional (takes 30 mins) • Scout out 20-50 companies that you are EXCITED about • Start networking with them on LinkedIn or in person. 30-40% of all hires are made through referrals! That's almost HALF of the hires. On top of that, employees are incentivized to refer others. When you’re top of mind and come with referrals, jobs CHASE you. Which leads to: • faster offers • higher pay • interviews that feel like conversations—not interrogations Now, experienced devs… ask yourself: Do you still want to personalise every CV? OR are you trying to be the one candidate who never had to apply? Companies know how valuable referrals can be. So why don't you start valuing them as well?
