Hi Toni! Yes, we are an all year Homeschool family here in my home. Pur hours of operation are 8:00 am - 3:00pm with breaks in between.
I am considering developing a virtual Civil Rights lesson for middle and high school!
This would not be a surface level biography lesson. - It would focus on: - How systems protected injustice - What Black resilience looks like after lost - How grief becomes long term activism - Why justice sometimes takes decades The framing is trauma informed and agency centered. The focus is endurance, strategy, and institutional change. Intended age group: Ages 12 and up Grades 7 through 12 Because the lesson discusses assassination and racial injustice, it is not designed for elementary students. Before I build the full slide deck and materials, I would love to know: - Would you enroll your student? - Would you attend as a family session? - Would you want this as a one time workshop or part of a short series on Black resilience? Comment or message me if interested.

Amber, thank you for taking the initiative to come up with an idea on how to bring our children up to speed regarding black inequality. Move just moved and are getting settled. My apologies for the late response.
