Small steps
My first time attempting pull-ups with 20kg, was able to do 7 reps Not big numbers but im satisfied since i dont train weighted that much, and i did this attempt at the end of my workout. It's mainly the gains from my front lever training, I think i can do 9-10 reps if i try when im still fresh since i already reached failure in FL and planche training (i do full body) I also did my best front lever hold yet with 6 seconds, and my first front lever press from a dead hang to inverted hang so I'm making some progress, still weak tho gotta keep pushing 😤

Love the progress!!! I like to say ‘content but never satisfied’ this way you don’t have to call yourself weak! You can say you are strong but getting stronger still! Put a more positive spin on your efforts
Making grown men cry
As a man we have a hard time processing emotions and we often suppress everything and never confront our negative emotions. So many live with unhealed anger, jealousy, and feelings of unworthiness. We had a meditation session to get rid of these negative emotions and then replace them with positive and a room full of 30-40 men started to cry in silence through the process. It was a really neat experience and I think it helped so much for myself and everyone involved.

@Niko Terris I’m not one to really answer that question. But I think it’s the ability to accept yourself and being comfortable being alone with yourself

@Niko Terris we intuitively know what we need to do but we avoid the work necessary to overcome ourselves. That’s why I think physical mastery is so important. It’s one aspect that can bleed into other areas of our lives

Dan the Man! Im from Utah, USA I’ve done calisthenics on and off for 5 years now and i want to take this spring to really lean out and master my body.
Just some philosophy
Calisthenics does something for the mind and body, it’s truly amazing! I came across this quote during my meditation time and thought it would be fun to share here! [quoting Henry David Thoreau] "I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life." Any “Dead Poet Society” lovers??
