What is the relationship between Netwalking – The Commonwealth Games – Human Trafficking Bill Christie Director of CER Business Finance has been a Rotarian for many years. Assisting and identifying how best to assist/promote Charities and other organisations has been a way of life for him. Recently at 8Business Netwalking organised by Kelly Houston, Bill met Sharmila (Sam) Wijeyakumar, Chief Operating Officer for Rahab’s Daughters. A member of the Rotary Club of London and previously for 10 years with a Rotary Club in the USA, Sam and her team will be in Glasgow for the forthcoming Commonwealth Games. Not to participate as athletes but to identify what could be instances of “Human Trafficking” and to help all of us identify and highlight such situations Sam at 16 years of age became a victim and now a survivor of Human Trafficking.
