This concept is something I had to learn years ago for my work. It’s a slightly different angle of this idea. When working with people who require specialized support to learn new skills, one needs this ability to trust the process without being attached to the outcome. Some children learn quickly and it’s so heartwarming and rewarding to be a part of their growth process. However, some will move very slowly, sometimes seemingly not at all. That can be hard. In my field, people burn out when they are attached to the outcome. If they can only work with the fast learners and need that feedback, (ie- attached to the outcome) then they really struggle when they have to work with kids that don’t have consistently measurable growth. After 15 years in the field, I have seen all sorts of children. And they WILL all learn. I know that. I trust the process. I also know they will all learn at different rates. And that’s ok. My job is just to connect, be super engaging and provide opportunities for learning. Whatever happens after that, is what will happen. 🙏 Thank you
Can you create energy?
How do you get up there and bring it, if you’re just not feeling it? Maybe something big and stressful is happening in your life and sucking your energy, but you have a gig to do. How do you pull out energy it feels like you don’t have that day?

Q&A: Whether it’s a press conference, a public hearing, or a tough media interview, the pressure can be intense. What is the most effective way to 'pivot' or stay on message when a reporter asks a difficult or unexpected question?
Call to action to you is to jump around in the video and grab one GEM. Anything that blesses you drop it in the comments, so that all the members in the community can grab and go with a quick gem they can apply to their own life.

I love using the piece about needing more perspectives. I often will be honest and say that I need more information, but I also really like the specificity of another perspective being the information I need. Sometimes that is exactly what I need, so it’s a good thing to articulate it! Thank you 🙏
Q&A - How do you become a great storyteller?
Call to action to you is to jump around in the video and grab one GEM. Grab the DROP that will be a useful to for you in response to failure and drop it in the comments; that way all the members in the community can grab and go with a quick gem they can apply to their own life.

I am a connector! I love building relationships. I love language and its power to connect us. I also value and use communication in non-verbal forms.
