Day 9 of the 30-Day Creator Challenge — Filming With Confidence
Today was about learning how to feel natural on camera. Honestly, that part can feel a little awkward sometimes, but the lesson reminded me of something simple: don’t talk to an audience… talk to one person. When I think about it that way, it changes everything. Instead of “performing,” it feels more like I’m standing in the kitchen or sitting across the table from a friend saying, “Hey buddy, let me show you something I learned.” That’s really what this channel is about anyway. Someone might come for a recipe, but along the way they might discover meditation, breathing, or a small idea that makes life a little better. I also worked on the simple technical stuff today — lighting, camera framing, and using talking points instead of a full script. Nothing fancy, just getting comfortable showing up and speaking naturally. The biggest realization from today: confidence on camera isn’t about being perfect… it’s about showing up enough times that it starts to feel normal. One small step at a time. On to Day 10. I also figured out how to fix the issue I was having with my video, so I’m going to spend some time working on that today. You might notice I’m using a script in parts of the video right now, and that’s intentional — I want to show the growth as I learn to make these. This is also one of those moments where I could probably film the same video a hundred times and still not feel completely happy with it. 😄 So instead I’m focusing on the real goal: post it, move on, and keep getting a little better each time. @Dr. Saundra Stancil @Jenny Sharratt @Jaye Brunner @Dajana K.
