We think "Courses" is more intuitive. What do you think?

@Corné Lategan definitely a great idea to be able to call it different for different parts of the community

@Sam Ovens yes - and even a 'custom' option...
We made this fun tool to discover random Skool communities and members. https://dice.skool.com It's not an "official feature", just something we made internally and thought we'd share 🙂. Try it and see what you think.

@Sam Ovens wishing hoping I am part of it
Want a simple landing page that explains what your group is about and why people should join? Now you have one! See an example here. You can promote your group by adding videos, images, and a description. You can specify if your group is free or paid. (less confusion when non-customers request access thinking it's free). For private groups: Non-members will see this page when they visit any of your group's links. For public groups: Non-members will see this page on the "About" tab. Once somebody is a member of a group, they'll see this page under the "About" tab. If you're an admin of a group, go to the "About" tab to customize your landing page. Try it for yourself and let us know what you think? 🎉

@Lars Küster Good point Lars.

We just shipped these features: 1. Course progress — see what % of your courses members have completed. (image #1). 2. Churned tab — see members who left your group and when. (image #2). 3. Membership settings modal — access all member info easily from the members list, profile, or profile preview. Membership questions, course progress, etc. live here now. (image #3). Check them out and let us know what you think? Enjoy 🎉

Great stuff... does the 'churn' translate or show in the insights?
1 like • 28d
@Sam Ovens sorry. So I can see when members left and who. Can I see an overall statistic of the churn for the group over time. E.g. last 30 days. All time.
Hey all. I've started using Skool as a front-end marketing group instead of a back-end product group. Is anyone else doing this? Attached is the model I'm using. The key differences to the model most in here use: - No ads - No direct outreach - No sales tactics - No content treadmill - Focus on audience building (specifically YouTube) - Focus on community - Using Skool as a marketing community, not product community I ran the new model past Sam and he said he liked it! I also asked for permission to post this here and he said yes. I think this new model is a game-changer for getting to $100k/m profit. I know it's quite difficult to get the full picture from the image, so if you need more info then just comment "Loom" and I'll send you a Loom fully explaining the model. Hope it helps.

Will you send the loom?
Here's our roadmap. The image below shows you what's in progress and what's up next. You probably noticed we shipped many new features in the last 2-weeks. We hired some amazing talent, reorganized our teams — and our development velocity increased — significantly. Some of you were a little concerned at the rate of change. When we dug deeper, we found that lack of communication was the real issue. We learned from this and will improve moving forward. Sharing this roadmap is a way of keeping you in the loop of what's coming soon. We're super excited to share these new features with you! Internally, our team agreed, it feels like we're just getting started. Let's build this thing together 🔥

I have 4 skool communities and am all in. However, a good friend is starting a new endeavor that I think would be great on skool, but he’s considering using Mighty Networks Pro instead. Was curious if anyone here has used them? Pros and cons compared to Skool? Here’s their website: https://www.mightynetworks.com/pro Appreciate any feedback or insights! 🙏👍🏼

dude... don't go there... we have had 3 different communities on mighty... the only deal with PRO is that you get your own app? Is it still $3,000? As @Robert Charles said...
TY to everyone who replied / DM'd me with their level screenshots for their own skool that I asked for last week. I had a few ideas already of what to offer, then by seeing others and getting inspiration...finished out my skool bonus levels. Appreciate the help!

Hey guys... happy Sunday. I was wondering if you also get these squashed faces of the profile images when Skool notifies you of a DM? @Sid Sahasrabuddhe

any updates or progress on the beta? should we wait for it or work out our own solution via third party?
Can we use skool as White label?

I'd love the feature to allow us to not see other groups and have a custom domain...
Here's the recording from yesterday's call. We covered new features, the Skool merch store, some big things on our roadmap, and Q&A to finish it off. The call was pumping! Here's a summary: New features: - Members tab + filters - Bulk actions: Give/remove access, remove members, export CSV. - Auto DM new members - Filter chats by unread Our roadmap: - Native payments (charge subscriptions or 1-time for courses) - Native mobile apps (iOS and Android) - Native video (host videos in Skool) - Improving the features we have Thanks everybody for attending. It's a pleasure building this platform for you ❤️. Back to work!

Is the Skool app for Iphone available yet? I see Skool Mobile and Kompanion, but not entirely sure

@Sid Sahasrabuddhe Yeah! I like the Kompanion... so excited to see what you guys have done
Where can I read about what the different levels do? I just promoted two of my most active (leaderboard) members to moderator... and they got removed from the leaderboard... un-intented by me. So where can I find out about the ins and outs of the different levels?

I don't have nor plan on having in the near future 14.2k members in my private group. 1k at the max and that will take me years I am estimating. That being said....I currently have 13 and lets say they EACH average 2 pts a day every day which I don't even get that in this group with 14.2k members....it would take each of them almost a year to get to level 6 and 45 years to get to lvl 9. As individual skool owners....we need the ability to create our own points numbers as our groups as for the most part...our groups are not going to be as big as the main skool community. Is this in the works @Sid Sahasrabuddhe ...like relatively soon? Thanks!

Yes @Robert Charles - same for me. Especially if we play like many here with a 'free' group and a 'paid' group, we need to be able to adjust what it takes to level up

For high achievers that would be eternally frustrating. They’re top of the tree at level 3?
WARNING: This post may completely change how you approach online sales. If you’re a coach, guru, influencer, or teacher and you want to be making an extra $5,000 - $10,000 in fully automated, recurring monthly income... Keep reading because... In this post you're going to see how you can make monthly recurring income (MRR) with your own micro-niche online community using Skool. (Have A.D.H.D. & can't read? Just scroll down to the very bottom and you'll get my 8 Step Framework to follow to set up and grow your own 5-10k/month community, without needing a big following, and without needing a ton of content.) Let's begin: What's a micro-niche online community? Think of it like a subscription membership you can offer, either in addition to, or instead of, traditional 1:1 coaching & 1 time courses. (@Sam Ovens says to think of it like a 'country club'.) Typical deliverables may include: • Community Q&A forum • Weekly or monthly group Zoom call • Videos • Other helpful resources like ebooks, mp3's, etc. But here’s what’s cool: Micro-niche online communities can still sell extremely well even if you DON'T have a big following… I heard about this guy named Nick who sold 180 spots to his audience of 200 people... because he knew exactly what they wanted and made them a deal they couldn't refuse. And strangely enough, these micro-niche communities also work really well even if you don’t create a ton of content for them... Turns out, the #1 reason people say they unsubscribe is because there's “too much content” to go through. So now that you know WHAT a micro-niche online community is… Let me show you WHY they're by far the best thing to sell going forward... In fact, here's why they're better than high ticket, better than stand alone courses, and better than 1:1 coaching... Though first, just so you know what I'm talking about… here's some context: I wasn’t always an online community expert. Making tens of thousands every month from communities and helping others build & grow their communities was NEVER my intention.

@Laura Winton can we please discuss this!
Hey folks, I wanted to post a message that only moderators and admins can see. I found that I can set up a category and limit who can post. Wouldn't it be awesome if I could also say who SEES a post... e.g. I want to post something for moderators and admins only... all I would have to do it select that category that normal members won't see.... is there a workaround?

how can I make new members have to answer the questions? I had a few members join now and did not answer them... can I send them a link to them later? I thought I read once that without them I can't email them... @Sid Sahasrabuddhe

@Robert Charles wouldn't it be easy to have a 'required' toggle next to the questions to make that an option for group owners?

Can we vote this up on the feature list or something... I am not a programmer, but it seems to be a small thing that would enhance the experience...
Hey @Sid Sahasrabuddhe - any clue what that could be? She tried three times and it always came back with an error

Hey just wanted to hear what @Sid Sahasrabuddhe has to say about this...? Any sign of the native app coming soon? https://www.skool.com/community/skool-kompanion?p=790294e4

I use it now for a few days and it good. I wonder what @Sam Ovens and team are cooking up. The roadmap says ‘30 days’ for the iPhone app
I wish it was required for them to fill it out the questions.

Can I send the question to them again? How would I get their email addresses into the profile otherwise?
Is there a way to limit what calls people get access to in the calendar? Similar to the courses they have access to? I’d love to be able to sell “just course access” as a down sell for some people in the future.

@Sid Sahasrabuddhe you can see the power of it though... to have events in the calendar you don't get access to... so you click on them and it says 'LEVEL 3 only'... feature request?
