Nga mihi ki a koutou katoa. Greetings to you all from The Land of the Long White Cloud - Aotearoa - New Zealand. In my culture (Maori) all things begin and end with karakia (prayer). So, my first offering in this space is A Prayer For World Peace. It’s May 17th here in New Zealand, the day President Trump has designated as a National Day Of Prayer for the USA. What a wonderful thought and just imagine what could happen if every world leader agreed to join in! Though we are a day ahead I’d still like to offer up a prayer to honour this special day and a song of acknowledgement. A Prayer for World Peace May peace rise where there is war. May mercy move where there is hatred. May wisdom speak where power has forgotten love. May every child sleep safely. May every mother breathe easier. May every nation remember its soul. Let the leaders of the world be guided by truth, humility, and compassion. Let the people of the world be strengthened by courage, kindness, and hope.
