After close to two decades of deep work healing and transforming myself in the self-improvement industry, I realized most of it was a scam. Not because people are necessarily trying to be corrupt, but because so much of what we're trying to heal, fix, or upgrade is still based on identifying with someone that isn't you, versus simply choosing to shift into a new identity. The new identity isn't something fake. It's a permission slip to embody the parts of ourselves that have been disowned through programming and trauma. I'd been playing with this idea for a few years, but a month ago I decided to experiment with a new way and actually download a new identity within me. Within the first 24 hours, I felt so much happier and more alive. It literally felt like I hadn't been fully living, and suddenly I could feel a much more beautiful range of emotions and be more present. The people on the street in Thailand, where I was staying, who would ignore me every day, started smiling, wanting to talk to me, and treating me differently. It manifested incredible experiences in my love life and my business, and it created new personal milestones and peaks. A big wire came in. I got invited to hike the Alps. I started stretching myself in ways my old identity thought I never could. So I decided to focus the retreat I just led on installing a new identity in each person. I used rapid hypnotic induction, meaning that in just a few seconds I was able to hypnotize each person and take them into a much deeper state, allowing them to actually receive what they wanted, the very thing their subconscious had been counter-manifesting and resisting.
