The holidays are over, the decorations are coming down, and real life is asking for your attention again. If that shift feels heavier than you expected, you’re not doing anything wrong. Returning to routine can stir up fatigue, sadness, anxiety, or even a sense of emptiness after all the buildup and connection. Give yourself permission to ease back in instead of snapping back into “normal.” You don’t have to catch up on everything today. You don’t have to feel motivated yet. You don’t have to have this season figured out. Take today one step at a time. Be gentle with your expectations. Rest when you need to. You’re allowed to transition slowly. You’re not behind. You’re adjusting.
