I opened an NFCU account a little over a week ago; I have a $2,000 direct deposit and $5,000 in savings. Last night, I noticed a pre-approval offer for the unsecured CashRewards credit card. I applied and was told to wait 24–48 hours; today, I found out I was approved—which was a huge surprise—though the credit limit is the minimum $500. The card offers a $250 cash bonus for spending $2,500 within 90 days, but I don't know how to meet that requirement given the low limit; there's no way I can spend that much over three months. If I call them and set up a $5,000 secured loan, would that prompt them to increase my credit limit?

UK resident here. I have 2 Wyoming LLCs taxed as C-Corps (one parent company and one subsidiary), both with EINs and a Wyoming suite address. Has anyone successfully opened US business bank accounts (Chase, BoA) for similar entities without traveling to the US? Can accounts be opened remotely, or is an in-person visit required? Any experiences or alternative bank recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

I recently enrolled for Banking for Sofi. Reason to enroll in longterm Sofi has 2% Cash Back Credit cards with no FTF. This is highest benefit I can think with no FTF credit card (all transaction). I am not yet enrollled to CC but journey starts. Some Key Highlights - Call Customer and update your profile before applying the bank account . US Address / SSN OR ITIN / Non residential status / US Phone number are key requirements. They do early warning check so its important to note. I was rejected in Dec 2025 once - They did not aks for Address proof or any other document as part account opening. - US IP address with stricly (no VPN) , I used Redpocket IP mobile data. - After account was opened I changed my mailing address (only mailing address not legal address) to pvt US mailing address. - They have despatched Debit card to my Mailing address. I Created joint account with my spouse and ths joint account is common to both profile login. very easy to create. easy sharing. 4. Applied for CC rejected - main reason history. will apply after 3 month. They consider more than year old credit card history. 5. Uses Microsoft authenticator at login no SMS based OTP. All logins till date without VPN from country of residence. no issues. 6. They have instant transfer feature..expensive but good replacment to Wire.
