Children absolutely experience it differently. And I believe it is both perception differences and lack of skepticism. I did not have an imaginary friend, I just had a house with several ghosts in it. And as children, we do have a stronger connection to spirit realm, because of imagination, and remembering in a way of where we come from. Intuition does not diminish, it is just that as we get older, we tend to focus less on it because the world dictates that trusting ourselves will lead us nowhere, while listening to those 'in power' is the answer. And that is a form of control... lastly, a lot of children learn to just keep their mouth shut, afraid that if they tell someone about what they are experiencing, they won't be believed, or worse, punished for it. @Destiny Godden - the thing about imagination is that the brain cannot see a difference between what you imagine, and what is 'real'. As for your abilities, we all are capable of mediumship, and other abilities. It just takes practice to reconnect with them. I thought I lost my clairs when I was younger, but they just go dormant, because we block them out. We need to learn to sit in silence for a while and listen to the whispers of spirit... I have reawakened my abilities, and then gained several more that I had no idea were in me. What a great topic! Definitely something to think about?
