Thoughtful curation and organization
I was going through the Overview again with the newer organization, and came across this nugget that made me appreciate the content and how its presented even more: "If you love research, stop reading here and start experimenting. Have fun in your rabbit hole. If you prefer structure, keep reading." The thought that goes into these courses is above anything else I've ever seen. Here you see thought and care about people who learn differently, and then also has an approachable community that you can ask anything and everything. I've never seen it's like. Kudos to @Mischa van den Burg and the whole team that makes this happen, which includes you, a member of the community. Thank you!!
What was THE moment you decided on DevOps? โ™พ๏ธ
We all got exposure to DevOps at some point. Some as software engineers, some as sysadmins, and some from completely non-technical backgrounds. I share the story of how I went from nurse to DevOps in the DevOps Blueprint in the Classroom, Image #2 has something to do with it. Do you know what it is? But I want to hear your story. At what point did you decide that DevOps is the thing you want to pursue?

Great question @Mischa van den Burg , I was doing some automation testing for an insurance company, thats when I was doing work with AWS, Jenkins, gradle, โ€ฆ.. and had interacted with the DevOps team because its in my nature to poke around for options to do a thing(in this case it was considered a vulnerability) at that point is where I knew DevOps was for me. I talked with the DevOps trainer at my company and he was excited about me going that direction, until corporate said no. At that point it wasnโ€™t an option for me to not pursue. Thatโ€™s when I started talking with @Sammy van den Burg, was accepted and was promptly laid off. Try and stop me now. The person who was excited, a few years ago was homeless living in his car and started from web dev and moved up into DevOps. I prefer the example to waiting on someone elseโ€™s permission to succeed. Itโ€™s only a matter of time until I land the role ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Finally reconnected Obsidian to Github
Iโ€™ve actually been using Obsidian for gathering data, now Iโ€™ve have my basic PARA setup, daily notes, and put everything in the inbox so I can process the data into information, in meaningful connected ways that Iโ€™m engaged with. I started with the Git plugin from the beginning, and it stopped backing up a couple years ago, yesterday I finally reconnected it. Now to get it onto my Mac connected to my Files. More to come.
