I feel like as I was going through this session the Lord was just prompting me/inviting me to go back to writing. I was reminded of specific songs that helped me through certain circumstances or longer seasons in my life, some that I wrote and some that I didn't, but they helped me process things and ultimately focus on Jesus. But I specifically felt the prompting to write these psalm like songs or pieces of writing, not for anything corporate, but just between me and the Lord, and to not have any filters on it, but just be totally raw with the Lord. I think this is a beautiful way to draw closer to the Lord

- David seeing through the cross into the throne room, just insane - And even this shows how worship is costly... sacrificing multiple animals every 6 steps... - Being able to see Jesus through this, as our suffering servant King. David's entry into Jerusalem with the ark, dancing before the Lord, and saying how he will be humble in his own sight, it just makes me think of Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, as a humble, lowly King

It’s beautiful and amazing and crazy that David was tapping into something that was to come. It just makes me think like his pursuit was the Lord and he was a man after God’s heart and throughout Scripture we see that the heart of the Lord, the desire of the Lord is to dwell among His people. And now we can actually be a 24/7 dwelling place for the Lord. It’s this constant communion and fellowship with Him and being aware of Him in all moments and responding to Him. What a beautiful pursuit to live in

I had to pause many times throughout this to be able to process a lot of questions, but something that really stood out to me is the question "does God even care about ____, is that our need to please people or is that what God desires". I want to do the things that please God, the things that He desires, and I want Him to be the one in mind in everything I'm doing, and not what people think. I feel like these passages cut kinda deep for me and I can sense that the Lord wants to do some work in refining the why behind certain things that I do.
