its either it won't happen to me or it's the people who think they can defend themselves but have never trained and have never actually been in a fight.
Focus for the week ( ? )
This week I’d like to hear from you all what you will be focusing on. Some principle? A technique you want to master? Staying calm under pressure? Let us know in the comments.

This week's focus is entering the clinch. Working on adding weight and pressure through connection.
Homework
Which of these do you personally need to work on the most in order to progress. Bonus: tell us in the comments which of these you have under control. Pick as many as you want.

patience is the only one I have under control. take it slow and enjoy every minute of training!
Focus for the week (alignment)
Many of you know that you are at your strongest and quickest when your spine is neutral. Any twist or bend in the spine can weaken your movements. This week, look for ways to misalign your partners spine while keeping yours straight. This is one of the ways less athletic people can even the playing field a bit. Would you ever attempt a max deadlift or squat while trying to turn and look behind yourself? 💀

As an older grappler i focus on this every roll. always keeping my partners alignment off and with each move trying to make it worse. And always keeping my alignment straight

to many variables. position. opponents size. what exactly they are attempting.

@James Driskill I would choose the underhook. I would mount, underhook the head, stay low and use hip pressure to try and drain my opponents energy level
