IM MI 70.3
Team, Because we're so badass, we've been given priority registration for IM MI Frankfort 70.3! https://regusa.ironman.com/event/2026-ironman-703-michigan We'll have a pool soon to determine what 70.3 race will be our team focus for next season, so start brainstorming!

Oh, nice. I was thinking about doing IM Michigan 70.3 next year. I did it a couple of years ago, and I definitely recommend it--one of the nicest bike courses I've ever done and super spectator-friendly. Also, there's a place in town that sells ice cream nachos.

Who I WANT to see on the podium... 1. LCB 2. Taylor Knibb 3. Solveig Lovseth (a newbie, but she killed it at Lake Placid and, well, Norwegian) Who I think WILL win... ????? It's an impressive list of starters. I'm predicting upsets for the top three.

I think about all the thing I did during races that p1$$3d me off and correct those as best I can. I also eat a lot of doughnuts.

@Daniel Welch I'm already regretting my decisions. Up 6 pounds since Nice, as of this morning. Time to stop enjoying life on go back to the rabbit food. Thank you, aging metabolism.
Group Ride and Barbecue: Oct. 18 in Muncie
I've already dropped a note in the Loco - Indy Facebook group, but I wanted to extend the invitation here as well. I am organizing a group ride starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18 at my place north of Muncie (a straight shot up I-69 and SR-67 from Indy). We'll ride about 40 miles, with options to cut back to 20 or 30 miles, then come back to my house for barbecue. This is open to anyone with a bicycle and an appetite for smoked meat products and fixin's, so if you're interested, feel free to reach out and I'll send you the invite!

Ruble Racing's Muncie Triathlon on Sunday, Sept. 28
I'm dropping a last-minute plug for a local race in my town this Sunday. Ruble Racing will host a sprint and Olympic-distance event at Prairie Creek Reservoir just outside of Muncie. It's a small, local race, but well run, and it's a good chance to pick up one more race before the end of the season. It's a good mix of beginners and experienced triathletes, and it's a good opportunity to make the podium if that's in your sights. I'm not sure if my legs are up for it myself, but at the least, I might be out there with a grill and some cheeseburgers. https://www.ruble.racing/muncietriathlon2?fbclid=IwY2xjawNDZG9leHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHgGZXPxR_lPDsVfMOuzVs_QEZKPmnd-S1hRiV28k62v7vaqDOriZoA-v1fIs_aem_7Xh6575-wLPR_O2Va4XCwA

Four-time IronMan finisher, including World's 2025. Pretty good but not great. Loves dogs. Weakness for cheesesburgers and ice cream.
