What is that?
Only a GenXer would appreciate how excited I was to see a phone booth. And guess what?- All calls are free now!! Does anyone else remember trying to put a 20 cent piece into the phone or even reverse charge calls. There was something strangely soothing about getting into this phone Booth and picking up the receiver. Apart from wanting to wash my hands immediately afterwards and begging my husband to take a photo of me in it for you guys- it made my day❤️❤️. When is the last time you remember using a phone booth?❤️❤️

Wow, when I saw those ear rings my mind jumped straight to this! Not many phone booths in Swan Hill as a lad - we communicated with homing pigeons and morse code mainly.
And the good people keep arriving!!!

Hi @Tim Johnson, yes all well thank you. No problem. I can try to arrange another funeral director as well if you like? They are in Mentone though and likely wouldn't want to travel - but if Mentone suits you? They do a lot more funerals than I do so might be a good intro. Or it can just be you and I closer to home if that's better?

@Tim Johnson no problem. Just waiting to hear from him - but I've asked him at this stage if next Friday (after you come back) would suit. Will let you know.

Time to create your Gen X superhero pic❤️
Use the prompt below in your AI and follow the instructions. SHARE IT HERE❤️ 🦸 WHAT’S YOUR GEN X SUPERPOWER? I want you to discover my personal Gen X superhero and then create a spectacular retro comic-book poster of me. This should NOT be a generic superhero. Your job is to understand enough about me first to identify the qualities that make me powerful, the things I care about, what gets under my skin, and the kind of impact I naturally have on other people. Do not assume you already know me. If you have useful context from our previous conversations, use it — but still check that it accurately represents me. If you don’t know much about me yet, that’s completely fine. Interview me first. STEP 1 — ASK ME THESE QUESTIONS Ask me these questions one at a time and wait for each answer before asking the next. 1. MY STRENGTHS Give me 4–5 words or short phrases that describe what you believe are your greatest strengths. If I struggle, give me examples to help me think — things like resilient, funny, loyal, courageous, creative, resourceful, compassionate, determined, independent, adaptable, connector, problem-solver, leader, encourager. 2. MY KRYPTONITE Give me 4–5 things you struggle with, dislike intensely, or find difficult to watch happening to other people. These can be personal weaknesses OR things in the world that really get under my skin. 3. WHAT PEOPLE COME TO ME FOR What do friends, family or colleagues tend to ask you for help, advice or support with? 4. WHAT I BELIEVE Finish this sentence: “One thing I really believe about people is…” 5. MY IMPACT When someone has spent time with you, how would you like them to feel? 6. MY GEN X HERO Who was your favourite superhero, action hero, TV hero or fictional character from the Gen X era — roughly the late 1960s through the 1980s? Tell me what you loved about them. If I can’t think of one, suggest 5–8 recognisable characters from that era and let me choose. 7. MY FUNNY KRYPTONITE What’s one completely unserious thing you have very little resistance to?

Not all heroes wear capes 🤣.
Who is Gen X in here and what is the one 'X'er' item you miss the most?
Im made in 1971 and definately an GX. I miss cassette tapes! I know they were a pain - especially when they got chewed up - but you could fix them with a pencil. A PENCIL!!! Life seemed simpler back then. What do X'er item do you miss the most and why!

Going to the shop and $1 worth of mixed lollies would last you two days - these days you get about 3 milk bottles for that. And along the lines of what Tim mentioned - pre internet and mobile phone life! Disappearing on your bike for hours on end until you became starving and had to go home (and no one could contact you to see where you were). Choosing one video or movie to watch on Saturday night - and you better be ready and seen to your ablutions before someone pressed play (much healthier and better for avoiding bed sores than binge watching 27 episodes of something). Oh, and I don't recall anyone pulling out a polaroid camera at every meal and taking 15 photos before they started eating - happy days! But probably mainly cartoons and television before pretty much everything became politically correct bollocks - luckily I still have a lot of old movies and TV series on DVD (saving them for Quinn to watch).
