Hello everyone! I have 2 questions: I am setting up my Youtube channel and have heard that it's safest not to have your personal email associated with it. I already have a Google account with an email associated with it. Should I open another Google account and create another Gmail separate from my existing one solely for my Youtube channel? I wanted to use the avatar (above) for my Youtube channel, but as it's the same photo as my personal Goggle account, would that lead to a problem? What did you do? Thanks for your thoughts!

hey hey totally new here! and my time is ticking until the new year and I have the motivation... so here I am.. a 43 year old dysfunctional adult of dysfunctional adults, trying to find my footing on this planet.

A Bit of a lengthy post, but I think it's worth it lol😄 I Wanted to wait and give about at least a week before posting any updates/results regarding my first few videos that I uploaded. So here's what has happened so far. I Uploaded 2 videos to start off my channel. Although one content creator in particular advises to upload at least 5 Videos when starting or re-launching your YouTube Channel to give YouTube the best amount of metadata to get your videos in front of the right people. I uploaded my videos on Saturday, Novembr 30th. I let Youtube Do its' thing, I checked back on that following Monday which was the 2nd of Dec. To my Dismay the result were a bit... underwhelming. So I checked my analytics, and realized that YT Was showing my videos to people who watched content that had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with what I had uploaded lol Needless to say I was a bit, SAD to say the least. So much so that I told myself that I would delete the videos and start a new channel the very next day if I didn't see any improvement. Right before doing so I decided to change the title and the thumbnail of the video a bit, and said to myself; "THIS IS IT, IF IT DOESN'T DO ANYTHING I WILL DELETE THE ENTIRE CHANNEL AND START FROM SCRATCH!" The very next day, I checked my email and saw a notification from YouTube, saying that I got a comment on 1 of the 2 videos that I uploaded. I Immediately responded to the user that left a comment on my video. An hour later I started to get a few comments on my OTHER VIDEO That I uploaded and linked to at the end of the first video. Needless to say, a little over a week later and both videos have reached over 1,000 views and have reached almost 200 subscribers in a littel bit under 2 weeks! Don't give up guys, constantly be objective about your work while doing the things you Love to do Sorry for the long post guys LOL😄

A small win. Haven't been working on educational content as the music has to come first and it eats up a lot of time (learning, arranging, practicing, recording), but I made this goal in under a year. I'm sure educational videos would have helped more, but not bad work for boring (or lack of) editing and pure music. More to come!
