Discussion Post Four - Servant Leadership
Do you have a secret place? How important is your secret place? How do you think you could be more intentional with your time with Jesus?

My secret place became my closet, just being able to be in darkness and silence speaking to Jesus, it brings so much peace to me. It is extremely important to me, because in times where I want to speak to Jesus, I am able to just enter my closet. I can be more intentional by making this a more frequent occurrence. I do not intend to only go to Him when needed, but when I would like to praise Him, or even just have a normal conversation.
Discussion Post Three - Servant Leadership
Looking at the ways that Jesus served and led: What is one way that you can serve like Jesus, and what is one way that you can lead like Jesus?

One way I can serve like Jesus is by focusing on my scripture and prayer life. It is where I can obtain more wisdom. Receive the Word of God, and understand what my role in life should be. One way I can lead like Jesus is by inspiring others. In my church, I am given the opportunity to lead the youth. By leading the youth, I need to ensure that I myself am checking my heart, to follow what I am teaching.
Discussion Post One - Basic Doctrine 101
Describe a moment when good doctrine "was like rain" for your life. How did that good doctrine bring clarity or healing to your life over time? If it's difficult for you to think of a moment, then what doctrine were you introduced to in class today that helped bring clarity to an area of your life?

Good doctrine has increased my faith with Jesus. Especially on this journey, He will never forsake us. When something negative happens in my life. I know that it is a redirection to what Jesus intends to lead me into my life. This doctrine gives me a better understanding that we as human beings will not be able to see the full story, it is only Jesus that does. It is just on us to fully trust into Jesus.
Discussion Post Two - Servant Leadership
Where has "what's in it for me?" shaped your walk? What would repentance look like?

The "What's in it for me?" mindset slowed me down on my journey getting closer to Jesus. It is a mindset that overrules and makes you forget all of the blessings you have in your life already. You cannot truly appreciate the things you have, if your eyes are focused on things you don't have. It can lead to an open door to where the enemy can use that desire to have envy or worry. Once, I got more in my word I started feeling gratitude for anything in my life. It shifted my life in a positive manner, the act of repentance is apologizing from the bottom of your heart, and promising change. So that the next time around you will be tempted, you will turn the other way. This does not mean we will sin again, for we are not perfect. But it will make it resisting temptation easier.
Discussion Post One - Servant Leadership
Referring to the Scriptures listed at the end of the PowerPoint, what Scripture is the most challenging for you to accept? Why? After you reply to this discussion, feel free to reply to another student's response as well!

@Mario Gonzalez-Nuñez This is something that I can relate to, and in all honesty certain people will never understand. AS LONG as their eyes are not opened. They do not see what we see, do not hear what we hear, or feel what we feel. Continue to allow God to guide you, and the rest will follow.

@Abigail Lopata This is so understandable, it is so difficult to trust into the Lord. We are renewing our mind, killing our flesh and feeding our spirit. But the glory afterwards is so fulfilling. Keep going!
