Hey guys! New community link
Alrighty, the new community is up and building. I write music about mental health, sobriety, faith struggles and life's challenges. And I also coach people for wholeness, focusing on the brain/mind. Come check it out as this group will be closing before the end of March. If you follow the link below you get a free download and another free gift as well. Hey guys! New community link
Closing the group - different group!
Hey everyone! I have enjoyed getting to know a few of you here. I am being pulled back into the music industry and am shifting gears. I'm still planning to have mental health content and coaching, but at a lighter level and on a different platform. So, if ya didn't know: I do music about mental health, faith, sobriety and life's challenges! Here's my first music video as a solo artist. Maybe I'll post a link to the other platform if anyone is interested. https://youtu.be/jYdBcyEzByM?si=v4Az50gK_IhKu6jp

RISE
Reframing Intelligence in Survival Evidence For too long, we've called survival "symptoms." We've pathologized the very responses that kept people alive. Today, that changes. Welcome to #SurvivalIntelligence — a movement to honor what survivors actually did: they adapted, strategized, and survived. Your hypervigilance? Tactical awareness. Your people-pleasing? Strategic de-escalation. Your emotional numbness? Psychological armor. You're not broken. You're brilliant. And it's time the world knew it. #RISESurvivalIntelligence

Ooo I love this and have been playing big. Building a different community actually. It includes my musical ventures! Wooo! What are you working on lately?
Your Brain and Time Management
🧠 Your Brain: The Ultimate Time-Warping Comedy Machine Imagine your brain as a slightly neurotic time management consultant who's had too much coffee. Every 90 minutes, it basically throws up its hands and says, "I'm DONE! No more productivity!" ⏱️🎢The 90-Minute Productivity Rollercoaster When you work beyond 90 minutes, your prefrontal cortex starts acting like a tired toddler: - Rational thinking? Nope. - Clear decisions? Not happening. - Stress hormones taking over? You betcha! 🏅Dopamine: The Brain's Sneaky Reward Dealer Your brain is basically a dopamine junkie that gives you a tiny celebration every time you complete a task. (Woo!) But here's the twist: scrolling Instagram for 20 minutes gives you the same reward hit as finishing a work project... BUT you didn’t get anything done! Now you have to still do the thing you were procrastinating on with a tinge of guilt. (Skip the scroll people!) Neuroscience: Where comedy meets complexity! Pro tip: Every 60 to 90 minutes of focus, set a timer and take a mental break. Do some breathing exercises, get up from the desk and stretch or simply stroll for 2 minutes. You'll come back to your tasks more refreshed mentally, physically and emotionally! Don't worry, I'm building out an entire module for time management to decrease stress and overwhelm so we can thrive, focus and produce - happily! More to come soon...

@Tameka Allison this is so relatable. And there are so many variables at play! I have to find out what works for myself and understand that every individual is unique. Do you feel like you've noticed your patterns? And what sets you up for success?

@Tameka Allison yes! Even a mini "brain break" for two minutes while working helps me so much. I hope the stress lessens and any adjustments will lead to a steadier rhythm for you
