Skool’s Facebook ad targeting
This is what Growth Boost is paying for. This Skool group is about as far from my interests as it’s possible to get, yet it showed up on my Facebook.

I have the same experience about these growth boost ads on my feed. These 2 types of ads I get: 1. Ads from communities I already in. 2. Ads from communities I am not interested at all.
🍿 Why Consistency Matters (Even When Your Only Member Is Your Mom)
Saturday movie time: Julie & Julia. one of my favs and it's secretly a movie about building a community. if you haven't seen it, Julie decides to cook all 524 recipes from Julia Child's cookbook in 365 days. and blog about every single one. her first reader was her mom. that's the part i love most. she kept cooking and posting for an audience that didn't exist yet. day 12. day 40. day 90. mostly quiet. but then people started showing up. not because one post blew up. because she'd been there every day when they arrived. that's why consistency matters on Skool. people do stay where someone has clearly been showing up for a while. which brings me to the flame 🔥 yes, there is a lot of discussion about the flame: to flame or not to flame. in the Hackathon i keep nagging you about it: - 10 activities a day on Skool. - a like, a comment, a post, - anything counts. and i know some of you are thinking "what does a little flame have to do with getting 100 members or success on Skool" everything, actually. the flame is your Julie blog. it's proof that YOU ARE TAKING IT SERIOUSLY. because the people who get to 100 members aren't the most talented ones. they're the ones who kept showing up on the boring days. i know that most of you have a job, a family, a life. BUT 10 activities is something you can do on a coffee break. Julie had a day job too, and she still boned a duck at midnight. so while you watch, ask yourself: 1. when does Julie want to quit, and what keeps her going? 2. Julia gets told no on her book. what would you have done at the first no? 3. Julie cooks after work. where's your "after work" slot for your business? 4. if you committed to your community for a full year, not a month, what would you do differently starting Monday? grab popcorn. come back and drop your answer in the comments: what day of your flame are you on? ⬇️ p.s. i changed my plans here to annual only: Premium at $9/ VIP at $90. you must commit or it does not work.

@Lidia Axe Yeah it’s not a big deal. I used to open a community which is very active, for example Skoolers, and just like every post through the first page. And done. I think it is less than a minute. Of course it’s not a very valuable thing because it’s just “spamming” likes. But it keeps the flame.

@Lidia Axe Yes 😎
Found this post tonight about GB 😁
Just made a screenshot before it's get deleted. People are getting angry about growth boost etc. That's what @Lidia Axe is talking about and many of us who barely started earning our first dollar on Skool.

@Eugene Huliakevich 🤣🤣🤣 yeah
Hi! Looking for advice!!!
I just officially launched my first skool community that's a book club focused on personal and professional growth + turning what we read into real actions/results in our own lives. We've officially hit 5 members (yay!) but to keep it running we need at least one person on one of the paid tiers within the next month and just more members in general so there is enough of a community to want to participate in the discussions. I'm looking for any and ALL advice you have about: - getting my first 100 members (or more) - where to share/market the community without spending money to run ads for it (because it's a free community) - How often to post, engage, tag people/etc. - & if you want to take a look and tell me what I'm missing in the community too, please let me know and I'll send you the link to check it out (A little background and specific question, I'm the CEO of a successful company and an awarded efficiency/systems expert, which is where the strategies for implementing what we learn from the books we're reading comes from, so the value to join the community is there because it's the same strategies we implement for clients, but in a DIY way instead of services - but I don't know if this should be a part of the language/marketing for the group or not because I'm not sure if it sounds more like true value or just self-promotion). Again, any and all advice is greatly appreciated, thank you for taking the time to help!

@Rae Taylor You’re welcome ☺️ But, I assume you knew these things already if you are a CEO, soo I think just be more confident, this platform is not different if we look at it from the business POV. About what to communicate to your audience the only good advice is to test how they react on the different messages/ offers. Since I am not your target audience I couldn’t tell how good it is. So just test it which one works better. What do you think, which one could work better or which one do you want to communicate?

Skool News | Axe Verdict
yet another skool news. mainly focused on Growth Boost. but few other things as well: - Skool reviews are now visible in multiple places. that's great. now, even more reasons to get the reviews. should be part of your routine to ask from reviews. - discovery tab - they finally told us that keywords are gone - see my post. still don't believe it's a good move. but. it is what it is. - "need inspiration"? you get a link to few communities for inspiration. be careful and do not compare yourself to large communities - what they can get away with might not be a good strategy for you. - "invite tab" enhancements are here. a bit confusing for me. and then they describe Growth Boost Levels. sorry guys, not gonna go through them here... you have to watch through it yourself. i generally consider GB as a distraction and just ignore it. if it happens, great. but not spending too much time on it. the full episode is in the vault - skool news episode ps i am getting tired with the GB obsession. but, if anyone gets a good boost from GB, please let me know. i'd like to see some successful cases.

@Eugene Huliakevich When I turned my community to paid at first it was set to 30%, and then they announced the 70% so I changed it, and the traffic dropped to literally zero. Of course, they don’t gave me any members with the 30% settings anyway, so it was kind of useless, but when I put it to the 70% it dropped to zero lol and I waited for that 30 day to let the “off site ads to optimize”

@Des Dreckett True, but it’s still boring, just it’s fast boring instead of slow boring😂
