🪞 The one question that just made my client an extra $5K
I had a client on a call this week. Spiraling. 🌀 Retainer client demanding more work. Scope completely changed from what they originally agreed to. He was stuck in the loop of "but I want to be helpful but I don't want to push back but I need this client but I'm working until 1:30 AM." 🤔 I asked him one question... "If you didn't own this company. If a friend ran it and told you what was happening. What would you tell them to do?" ⚡ He answered in three seconds. "Renegotiate. Obviously. Or walk." The advice you'd give a friend is almost always the advice you should be taking yourself. You're just too close to your own story to see it. 👀 When you can't see your business clearly, take yourself out of it. Imagine a friend just told you the same situation. Now answer. 💬 What's something happening in your business right now that you'd give a friend clear advice on, but you keep dodging for yourself?

It's been quiet 👀 here's what's going on
Hey founders, real talk; Running a business with ADHD has it's challenges. Who knew?! But my ADHD isn't the reason I've gone quiet in here. It's actually because, since Rex and I split, I've needed to refocus my efforts on my main business: SEO for B2B SaaS. I've been doing SEO for nearly 14 years now. I've worked with companies like Monday, Oberlo, AppSumo, Ahrefs and, currently, Semrush. SEO was my second love (writing was my first). My runway for running the experiment of making this Skool community my full-time focus dried up a few months ago, and I've had to refocus on my main income earner. I've absolutely loved building this community - especially the defining moments, like celebrating getting the star and becoming a top 1% community with @Tommy Gan and @Izzy Piyale-Sheard. The past year has given me many moments to be really proud of. And many moments that made me want to rip my hair out. (Typical entrepreneurship!) Anyway, here's what that means for this community going forward: I'll commit to writing one post per week. No more, no less. I'd rather show up consistently with something real than try to run a full curriculum I can't sustain. You'll get my honest observations from the trenches of building a freelance SEO business with ADHD, including what's working, what's blowing up in my face, and what I'm learning about SEO in the age of AI. I'm also committed to being there for the Momentum Lab members. @Jen Ritchie @Alena Sladkovská @Emily Satel @Rachel Hasson @Stijn Van Den Bossche @Amber Kay. We've been meeting twice a week every week since this thing started, and they've done some cool shit. (Shout out to Jen for doing her 5-day challenge launch and hitting her MRR target! And to Emily for starting her private practice, to Rachel for launching her new offer and bringing in some new clients, to Amber for massively increasing her prices and finally bringing in a livable wage from her business.)

@Elizabeth Hadzic that is sooo needed, what a great coaching tool. trademark it and license it to other coaches to use to build their programs, it could be a great ongoing revenue stream for you.
Those of you who menstruate: Do you plan your tasks in synch with your cycle?
We’ve been aware for a while now that ADHD in women is associated with higher sensitivities to hormonal changes which can result in PMDD, worsened ADHD symptoms or reduced efficiency of ADHD medication (for a while meaning – since 2017 I believe?? Correct me if I’m wrong). Just generally though our bodies and brains change throughout the menstrual cycle, and I think many of us will notice those changes over the month. What I’m curious about – do you keep track of your cycle and have this in mind as you schedule meetings, tasks or deadlines? Personally I’m much more outgoing and communicative during my follicular phase, so I’ll plan important meetings, outreach or releases during this phase wherever possible. When I’m luteal or menstruate I tend to withdraw from the world. This is a tricky window as mood regulators drop and I’ll be sooo much more sensitive to negative intrusive thoughts. But I’ve found this window is actually really fitting for deep-diving into learning new things, tucked in comfortably on my sofa. What’s funny is that I started doing this subconsciously. I’ve been focusing on exploring my flow states over the last years, listening to my body and leveraging my impulses. By now I’m aware of what’s going on and how I can use it to my benefit. It’s not foolproof, and externalities can easily get in the way. But I do feel much more confident and aligned in my work and can be gentle to myself when something doesn’t work out. Do any of you relate? Can you identify tasks that work just well in one cycle phase but feel impossible a week later? Would love to hear your thoughts 💛

@Katherine Lizardo this is so fabulous!!! i love this. I would love to have this sort of talk inside my community too. we need more of these conversations.
It's quiet... too quiet 🤫
I admit it... I’ve been pretty quiet in here the past couple weeks. Not because I stopped caring about this community. Actually, the opposite. I just moved into a new home, and I’ve been sitting with some big questions about direction, priorities, and what the next chapter should look like. One thing I’ve learned as a neurodivergent founder is that sometimes the most productive thing isn’t pushing harder… it’s slowing down long enough to actually hear what feels true. So I’ve been doing a lot of thinking, journaling, walking, and reflecting. I've got some ideas, and I'll share them soon! But for now, I'm curious... How do you usually decide when it’s time for a pivot vs. time to push through resistance?

It's a Sunday everyone, time to celebrate 🙌
@Tiffany Noel Taylor was risen in rank! Through pure focus and flow she has lifted her community from #99 in Discovery on October 1st to #32 today! 🚀 What’s behind it? Consistency. Presence. And a clear, intentional rhythm that she has uncovered through Skool each day that’s not only grown her community, it’s elevated the energy for everyone around her ✨ And as if that wasn’t enough, she’s also been leading movement on a massive rehab project in their 104-year-old home! Talk about building legacy both online and in real life. 🏡💪 Tiffany, your ability to stay grounded through growth is inspiring. Keep leading with heart, focus, and that steady fire. We see you and we’re celebrating every step of this rise. 🙌✨

@Bill Widmer this is really such a surprise to see this celebration. The community you and @Rex Loyer are building is so encouraging. I learned so much about my ability to better use my focus and flow after watching and witnessing the thirty days in ADHA FOCUS FOUNDERS. Every day compounds on the last. I stopped feeling like I had to tear it all down when a day was too busy or too scattered. Thank you @Sebastian Schroeder and @Rebecca Bautista for supporting my focus. 🧘💛🌟
