☕🐾 Walkys Community Pack Walk 🐾☕
We’re bringing the Walkys community together for a relaxed morning of sunshine, coffee, great conversation, and quality time with our dogs. Whether you’re a current Walkys member, a friend of a member, or simply love getting out with your dog, we’d love to see you there. 📅 Saturday 4th July ⏰ 8:00am 📍 Meet at Warilla Beach Café We’ll grab a coffee and head off for a casual walk along the beachfront pathway together. This isn’t a training session or a structured event. It’s simply an opportunity to: ☀️ Get some sunshine ☕ Enjoy a coffee 🐕 Spend quality time with your dog ❤️ Connect with like-minded dog owners 🧠 Support mental wellbeing through movement, fresh air, and community A few simple guidelines: • Dogs remain on lead throughout the walk • Bring treats and water for your dog • Respect every dog’s space • No retractable leads please • Friends, family, kids, and friends’ dogs are all welcome No bookings required. Just turn up, grab a coffee, and join us for a great morning with great people and great dogs. Your Dog’s Best Day, Every Day. 🐾❤️

@Nath Morrison thanks. I’m getting more injections in June so hopefully I’m good to go or if not I’ll drag Dave’s butt out of bed to come along and he can do the other part!
Our starting place…
I want life with Yvie to be calm and enjoyable, where she feels comfortable alone and relaxed when we have visitors.

@Nath Morrison we have made a big improvement on her over excitement when her daddy comes home. She used to sit by the front door waiting, then jump all over him, crying and squeaking a toy in her mouth. Now, I put her on place prior to his arrival so she is calm. She is expected to stay on place while he comes in, unloads etc. I have her on the leash and don’t let her off place until she is calm and then she greets him (her favourite). No more jumping and over excitement! I’m looking forward to her staying on place by herself but I think that will be a while yet. Happy with this progress so far.

@Maria Sirianni oh no Maria it’s so frustrating! I think it means, at home, all the hard work is up to us but luckily we are getting support, education and feedback thanks to everyone at Walky’s.
Funny one for today!

@Lex Stephens it’s the year of big birthdays in our family so the bank account isn’t feeling too lucky 🤣😂

@Lex Stephens 8 kids AND Christmas in between?! You’re a superhero 😂 Ours are mostly July — except one two days after Christmas and that’s hard enough!”

If you had a magic wand and could change 1 thing about your dog what would it be?

My #1 wish would be for Yvie to be fine being left home alone. It would change our lives!

Yvie sits in the back seat with a seatbelt attachment onto her harness. The seat cover usually covers the back rest as well. I don’t know why it was folded over 🤷‍♀️
