My baking journey is relatively new. It began when my mother-in-law gifted me a stand mixer for Christmas. My first foray was garden art focaccia, and using a same-day recipe, I was whipping up decorated loaves multiple times a week. Sometimes I had full creative freedom, sometimes my kiddo had the creative freedom, and sometimes I took specific design requests from friends. My step-daughter loves baking and decorating these with me and even enlightened me to the idea of a fruit one instead of veggies and herbs. I even made a gluten-free one for my bestie… because it feels slightly ironic and cruel that her best friend fell headfirst into the world of wheat 😜 (The last slightly misshapen loaf is the GF version - it was actually really good)
