Tuesday night my final(planned) son was born. the last time we had a child (middle one) I was working for the post office. I was being called and asked if I could come back to work the next day. I told them no, but I was already committed to starting my own brewery so I didn’t give a shit if they were mad about it. Start your own business. It’s scary, hard work, and thankless. But I’ll never miss a big moment again

Brewing today on this beautiful sunny Sunday because we’re having a baby on Tuesday. Our best seller is down to a single half barrel keg left and I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re sold out for a week before I get it done. When you’re the owner and brewer you just gotta get it in when you can fit it in.

Gonna skip the happy hour tonight, had a good friend pass away unexpectedly two nights ago, so going to just drink his favorite beer and be with my family tonight

The community is brand new so I haven’t built any of the courses or anything yet but the first priority has been to get our first 100 founding members in here! Then I’ll add a weekly live group chat, Q&A, webinars and interviews etc.

Since football season started I’ve been opening the taphouse on Mondays with a little mixed success, but the last couple weeks have been dead. People will come in and tell you “Oh I’m so glad you’re open on Monday!” But you might see them once a month when they decide to actually go out on a Monday. And I don’t blame them, I was thinking about all the places that I LOVE in town, and they might only see me once a month. You can’t take it personally, and every business feels the pinch this time of year when the tourism dies down (for us). Just gotta trim the fat, limit your spending, and keep the faith!
