Audio Editing Advice Please!
UPDATE: I was able to get enough feedback that I felt comfortable moving forward with scheduling one of these. But I’m still interested to hear advice on efficiently getting quality sound. I didn’t get into this wanting to spend hours trying to adjust sound quality. I just wanted to share some things that might help people, but this one felt like it took over my life. I’m grateful for all the support in here. 🙏 ORIGINAL POST I’ve been trying for two days to get my audio track to at least be good enough, but I don’t think it is. Originally, after I did my usual adjustments in Audacity to bring up and balance the volume, it had a hiss. So, I decreased background noise in Audacity which fixed the hiss but now it seems like S and T sounds are too high. I have sensitive hearing so maybe it’s acceptable to others, but it’s meditation so I don’t want it to sound irritating to anyone. ChatGPT suggested lowering a certain Hz point in Audacity’s filter curve EQ but I can’t get it to work. When I click on the line and drag the dot that appears, the whole line moves down instead of just that point. I did apply treble cut which helped some. I also have two (unlisted) versions of the audio and can’t tell which is better because they sound different depending on the device. I’ll put the second one in comments. If anyone can give feedback or suggestions on how to fix this and which version is better, I’d sure appreciate it! I love this meditation, so hoping I can get the sound to do it justice. I think my crooked teeth make my Ss whistle even more! LOL. Ack. Also wondering if I shouldn’t have done lossless recording option in VoiceMemo. I’m very new at this and have a cheap lav mic. TIA!! 🙏 https://youtu.be/mipK8X4Dp-g?si=FFL_I5DG88g6QPU2
