Making progress on factsheets and even workbooks!
I am sorry I have been going through some major life upheaval plus dealing with "the never ending headcold". I did a couple of videos but sounded so silly I have been concentrating more on creating documents to accompany topics. I am excited to get them uploadng this week.
My kids and Money... some funny stories
I've been having a chat with a fellow mom on skool about her mom group and she asked about what my group is about and thought you guys might get a kick out of these stories from my kids and teaching about money... 🐴 Me: I just did up a little video as part of my financial education as Top 5 five ways to teach young people about money... hopefully help with 1 less stress for parents... I found when I started talking to my kids about money they didn't throw as MANY tantrums etc.. always some of course... but they have retained a bunch of it and as they are new adults they are way ahead of their peers in that regard. 🙍‍♀️Other mom: That’s brilliant! I love that you’re teaching kids about money early on — it’s such a powerful life skill. Kids are incredibly wise, and I don’t think we give them enough credit for how much they can learn through simple, honest conversations. Those moments of connection really help them understand the world and feel more capable. That’s brilliant! I love that you’re teaching kids about money early on — it’s such a powerful life skill. Those moments of connection really help them understand the world and feel more capable. 🐴 Me: thank you... it definitely helped them in many ways, I still have one who is fundamentally a saver vs the other being a spender but they both are far ahead in their money thinking etc. The "Parent store" was the best thing ever for my son. Those dang skylanders... brilliant marketing by the company... but wow... talk about targeting littles. I sure liked when they just watched videos that didn't have commercials either. 🙍‍♀️Other mom: Haha, I love that, Crystal! I have three, and they each handle money so differently. One saves everything but then wants us to buy what he wants so he doesn’t have to spend his own. One spends half. And one spends every last penny and then can’t figure out why she doesn’t have money left at the end of the day. 😅

Another addition to the Canadian Disability Financial Programs Training
So many people with extra challenges (I really don't like the word Disability" have extra health issues due to original diagnosis or just life. The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) came out in 2024, but you have to apply each year... among other qualifications of course.

@Terrie Hein Thanks one of the biggest issues that many people struggle with I find is that they struggle with wear and when to start. Honestly because any talk of money was a taboo subject for many families I think.
