Guys, sorry, this group is worthless. I didn't have the heart to tell you, but Don Tuttle does!
This comment absolutely delighted me. Maybe I'm being petty, but after seeing the amazing pages and ways writers are transforming in this morning session, I got a notification that Don just doesn't approve of what we are doing here at all. Here's the Ad: I'm J. David Stem, Fancy Hollywood Writer Just let it be a reminder, that no matter what your intentions, no matter how good your pages, the world is full of Don Tuttles. Sometimes it feels like... it's Tuttles all the way down! So, keep your head down and focused on YOUR work and what YOU can control. And lets the Tuttles of the world do Tuttle things. Not. Your. Concern.

I appreciate the mindset spin on this. It's crazy to me to even feel the need to comment on something that the person doesn't see value in.
checking in!
hey everybody, I’m doing my homework but it’s grueling. I uploaded my outline to Claude AI and came up with a bunch of film recommendations, some that were mentioned in class some that weren’t so not only am I breaking down these Black Book episodes I now have the scripts too thanks to a fellow student master @Chris Dyer 🙏🙏🙏. I have all these movies to pick from for thematic, plot, structure, etc. Also, I’m reading reading reading (As Werner Herzog supposedly said: “ read read read read read read read read read read read read read read …” SO I’m reading class scripts ( @Pia Crawford yours today!). I’m finishing the Five Easy Pieces script and I’ve read like four scripts in my entire life (Soilent Green(1973) , Van Lyfe (2025), The Getaway (1972) I know I need to read more of them!!!! Question to my classmates a lot of you got the same homework what films are you studying now? Are you breaking them down? Are you reading any scripts? I don’t wanna do this alone. 😜 hehe thank you, @David Stem

That's pretty much the best homework assignment I've ever had.
Off to see LOTR: Two Towers. 3:44 min run time! Wish me luck!
We saw LOTR last week and are seeing the other two in theaters this weekend. It's a lot of sitting! I'll need a lot of caffeine to get thru these, but they're well worth it to see the amazing spectacle on screen. So if you have a chance to see any of them this weekend, go and let us know what your experience is like. We were all blown away seeing the first one the other night. Also, I totally did not get choked up and maybe cry a little when Boromir died, so mind your own business. I am totally not a sap who cries in movies. Shhh...

One of my goals in life is to catch the trilogy on the Big Screen. I missed them when they first came out. So cool!
