Stuck in the discord server loop
Maybe I just have to be approved or something but in the discord server I got stuck in the verification process, clicked on the "what do you want to do in the server" thing, clicked ok, and still can't see any other channels. I am a member of a ton of other servers for awhile and have been verified in a lot of them, but not agent zero.

30 agents and 50 skills now
I actually had to have Codex helped me a bit to customize agent zero, but I was able to get all of my custom agents out of Claude code, and I downloaded about 50 skills from another GitHub repo and change them basically to flat files and imported the mall as knowledge into agent 0 and so it looks like we have all kinds of different workers and all kinds of different skills that can do stuff for me. so far Agent Zero is kind of like the BMW of LLM workhorses.

The way claude code works is kind of weird you have this folder structure then within each folder is just a file called skill.md Seems simpler to me to just have markdown files named after the skill or a markdown file that is something like brainstorming_skill.md or something like that, but like a lot of these things since anthropic created it now it's the standard, but that's what I did I basically just had the mass rename all my files so that I didn't have a bunch of identical files called skill dot md. I will be excited to see how agent zero gets skills going for sure.

Don't forget Z.Ai Integration
I customized my own agent zero to use Z.AI, They have a plan that's like $6 a month that they say approximately three times the use of claude code And then they have other plans that are even bigger but it's pretty cost effective and the models are not bad. Anyway I saw a guy that did GitHub branch where he just basically changed the settings.json file, the user ENV file to put in the API key, and then the endpoint, which is https://api.z.ai/api/paas/v4 So it should be pretty easy to add that in future releases, or Even just accept the changes from that one dude's branch.

Agent Zero VS Code Extension
Today, I want to highlight an incredible contribution from our community member in Discord, Nick Baker. He created a VS Code Extension that registers Agent Zero as a 'Language Model Provider'. It means he can open a native VS Code Chat and select 'Agent Zero' from the dropdown, just like you would select GPT or Claude and without the hassle of setting up the A2A protocol. This is a perfect example of extending the ecosystem.

This is kinda related to what I was already going to try to do- get codex to work with agent zero. There's no api key for codex, it just has a cli and a vs code extension. There is a docker extension with vs code, but so far I have no way to get codex to be the brains behind agent zero.

What's up for today? Taking GPT-5.2 and throwing it into Agent Zero for a real execution test (not a chat demo): ✅ Cybersecurity (Brute force/Recovery) ✅ Stock Analysis (Pandas/Matplotlib) ✅ Vision to HTML/CSS ⚠️ WordPress Container Setup The result?
