automated talking head editing in davinci
yo what's up everybody. does anyone have any recommendations for how to use claude code in tandem with any other tool to automate the first cut of a talking head youtube video in davinci resolve? context: i run a video production company, and we’re trying to turn around long form youtube videos for clients while also turning around ads and short form deliverables for our other clients the reason i'm asking is because my editing team and i are all pretty bogged down with our workloads right now, and i’d like to relieve some of the pressure off of them to make their lives easier and increase output descript won't cut it because we do have to have a professional color grading workflow in the pipeline for this project (we’re using braw footage that i personally have to go in and denoise + grade, the render for that will take hours). if the client needs revisions, having all the files in davinci will make our lives so much easier. because it saves 3 hours of render time + re export into descript any suggestions?

@Kushnir Achi mostly content based rough cuts. silence filler removal, retake removal, etc shorts we can handle for now, but yeah if i could basically have descript inside of davinci, that would be so sick i’m all down for importing xml or timeline files and all that, anything that can get my team a first cut quicker would help them a ton

@Stefan Moser thank you!
Silly question
This might be a dumb question but what exactly are the practical benefits of taking the folder based approach? Does it provide more efficient use of tokens, more consistent results? How can we demonstrate this so we can sell this idea to others? I tried creating a sample home page using the folder based approach versus standard claude.ai but couldn't really see a big difference.

think of the system like this: instead of an ai that forgets everything you do everytime you close it, imagine an ai that knows EXACTLY what you're doing over the long term and can execute with high quality results. in a way, you're building the ai's "brain" so that it knows how to execute a task
next steps
whaddup y'all! i just got through pretty much everything from the free courses (except the archive ahha, that's next) and most of the vault too. this stuff is absolutely incredible!!! question for the group: how are some of y'all using these frameworks in your businesses lately? context on me: I run a video production company in LA, mainly working with another marketing agency where we turn around a ton of ads and assist with client campaign management, but i'm also working with music producers on their content to help them get more bookings. just curious to learn what y'all have got going on under the hood!
file system as a second brain
https://www.loom.com/share/695f077f0e524754a16559a70fd5088b tl;dr Using VS Code, Claude, and Obsidian together to become a master thinking partner has sped up my time to result in completing tasks, because I don't have to sift through a shitload of manually written notes that took me forever to take. Rather, I have a little AI buddy that knows all of the things that I want it to remember and can help me think through specific pieces of information that are all cross-linked to each other which is really fun! really really helps when i'm back and forth between meetings all day and have to sort through a wide array of tasks. (don't worry, i don't use this architecture to build and ship things like video projects or animations!) thoughts?

whats the best use case for obsidian?
https://www.loom.com/share/7f9df3fac9c04ec4a4d45f62f4ca52d3 ^this loom explains it all tl'dr: currently using vs code + claude connected to an obsidian library for a second brain, is this the best way to do it, or should i try something different?

@Roc Lee thank you for this!! i started having claude trim down my files a bit and reorganize based on your suggestions. i do see the need to start getting reaaally specific about what it should be doing. i think right now its helping me document a lot of research and think with me through complex problems. im in the middle of building my business, while also trying to document client results, SOPs, new findings, and instructions for workflow automations when i end up needing them. so its basically my business thinking partner, as well as performing tasks for me while im in meetings, such as generating ad campaign concepts for my review once im out of meetings.
