Any thoughts or reviews?
Hi, we are sailing on legend of the seas in October. We are in room 8212. I believe it’s roughly the same layout as icon. Does anyone have any reviews on this room from being in icon or star? It’s behind the pearl and at the end of the corridor. At the top of stairs that lead to Central Park which we are hoping is not too noisy. Thanks x

I haven't sailed on any of those monster ships so can't help.
The cost of my 15 night TA cruise🛳️💰
Let’s breakdown the cost of my 15 night transatlantic cruise on Odyssey of the seas.💰 Because I think this is where a lot of people get stuck with cruises, they see the total price, but not what that actually covers day to day.🛳️ For us, this cruise came to £2,754 in total for an ocean view balcony. That included 15 nights, taxes, port fees and gratuities (we always pay upfront). When you break that down, it works out at £91 per person, per night. And that is for basically everything onboard. We were having three meals a day, grabbing snacks in between, coffees throughout the day (Kevin especially 😅), and never once thinking about where we were going to eat or what anything cost. Breakfast in Two70, lunch wherever we fancied, dinner in the main dining room, it was all there. On top of that, all your entertainment is included as well. Shows like The Book and Showgirls, live music, quizzes, Seaplex, gym, and just being able to use the ship properly throughout the day. We had LOTS of sea days too, so we really got our moneys worth I think.😅 The only extra we paid was WiFi, which was £250 for one device for the full trip. I used GigSky, but even adding that in, it doesn’t massively change the overall cost when you spread it across 15 nights. One thing this cruise did confirm for me though is the balcony. It was nice to have, but we didn’t use it anywhere near as much as expected. The first part of the crossing the weather wasn’t great, and even when it improved, we still spent most of our time out and about on the ship. I think for a balcony it was still a great price, but could have cut the cost more with a different cabin… Curious, does that sound about what you expected, or higher/lower than you thought?👇

I thought a Transatlantic would be a bit cheaper. I budget $100/night. That is often solo. So yes in my expectations for a cloeed loop cruise. I would be interested to know what you spend daily on a more traditional cruise @Katrina Edginton . Repositioning cruises are always billed as much lower cost. I usually do inside cabin and don't buy Wifi. So not really apples to apples.

@Katrina Edginton balconies are very beneficial on trips with multiple sea days.
What matters MOST when booking a cruise?
Most people naturally lean towards one of these without even thinking about it… I’m really curious to see where everyone lands on this 👇

Price and how easily or cheaply I can get to the departure port. Often traveling Solo price has a sub category of how much if any is the Solo supplement.
Any thoughts on Cruising with MSC from US Ports?
I'm considering gong on a group cruise from Port Canaveral on MSC Seashore. It isn't till early October so I have time to decide. I have never cruised MSC though they often come up on the lower end cost wise. I've heard mixed reviews, mostly on YouTube. Was wondering if anyone in this community has experience on their ships leaving from US ports. I'm aware of the general pro's and con's. I'm also aware they seem to be different sailing from EU ports than US ports. So really just trying to get a first hand opinion from someone that has sailed them on a closed loop US sailing? If you can compare them to other lines even better? If you're like me and have never sailed them, please share what your reservations are about sailing on them if you have any?

This video crossed my suggested videos tonight and I'm glad I watched it. I like companies that run like a well oiled machine. This one and one other I'll post in the comments eased a lot of my concerns about MSC as I don't need roller coasters and "art auctions". They are a behemoth of a shipping company and apparently privately owned.

Then this one came up next and eased my concerns about nickel and diming which most of the major lines have made an art form now. With what this one says is included I would be very happy on MSC and I'm not a food snob so I'm sure I would be very happy with "Mediterranean style" I did live in Central Europe for over a year and loved both the pace of life and the food culture.
Not all cruises are equal…🚢
How to pick the perfect cruise (without the overwhelm) Most people see a deal and book. Then spend the whole week wishing something was different. 10 minutes of honest thinking before you book changes everything. Step 1: Know your vibe Spa days? Port hopping? Family fun? Pool cocktails? Write down your top 3 must-haves and use that as your compass. Step 2: Ship first or itinerary first? Love the on-board experience? Pick your ship, let the ports be the bonus. Want to see somewhere specific? Pick the destination, then find a ship that gets you there. Step 3: Get your dates right Short on time? 3–5 nights. Want a proper holiday? 7–9 nights. Want to really switch off? 10+. Season matters too, especially if you are travelling with kids or chasing a deal. Step 4: Pick the right cabin Inside, oceanview, balcony, suite… Mid-ship is more stable. Check what is above and below you before you confirm. Step 5: Think about who is coming Solo, couple, family, group, each one needs something different from a cruise.
