Can a Christian Need Deliverance? What Does the Bible Actually Teach?
Can a Christian need deliverance—or does having the Holy Spirit mean a believer can never experience demonic oppression or influence? This is one of the most debated questions in Christianity, and in this teaching, we're setting opinions and extremes aside to examine what the Bible actually says. Some Christians have been taught that a believer can never need deliverance. Others have encountered teaching that seems to attribute every struggle, temptation, or hardship to a demon. But is either extreme biblical? In this video, we open Scripture and look at the important distinction between belonging to Christ and experiencing spiritual influence or attack. We’ll explore: • What it means to belong to Jesus and be indwelt by the Holy Spirit • The difference between spiritual ownership and spiritual influence • Why Paul warned Christians not to give the devil a foothold • The woman Jesus called a “daughter of Abraham” who was bound by Satan • Why not every struggle is caused by a demon • The relationship between deliverance, healing, repentance, renewing the mind, and discipleship • Why biblical deliverance should always point us back to Jesus • How to avoid becoming either dismissive of spiritual warfare or overly focused on demons 📖 SCRIPTURES DISCUSSED 2 Timothy 2:15 2 Corinthians 5:17 Romans 8:9 Ephesians 4:26–27 2 Corinthians 2:10–11 Luke 13:10–16 Romans 12:2 Hebrews 12:2 One of the most important principles to remember is this: Deliverance is never a substitute for discipleship. Not every struggle is a demon. Sometimes we need repentance. Sometimes we need healing. Sometimes we need to forgive. Sometimes our minds need to be renewed. Sometimes we need wise counsel. And there may also be times when spiritual oppression needs to be confronted. The goal is not to become obsessed with the enemy. The goal is to become more like Jesus. A healthy Christian life isn't demon-focused. It's Christ-focused. I encourage you not to simply take my word for it. Open your Bible, study these passages in context, pray for wisdom, and allow Scripture to be your final authority.

Stop Prophesying Against Yourself: Speak What God Says
WHAT GOD SAYS ABOUT YOU Let's replace the lies with truth. God says... "I am forgiven." (Ephesians 1:7) "I am a new creation." (2 Corinthians 5:17) "I am chosen." (1 Peter 2:9) "I am loved." (Romans 5:8) "I am God's workmanship." (Ephesians 2:10) "I am more than a conqueror." (Romans 8:37) "I can do all things through Christ." (Philippians 4:13) "I have not been given a spirit of fear." (2 Timothy 1:7) "I am adopted." (Romans 8:15) "I have the mind of Christ." (1 Corinthians 2:16) "I am seated with Christ." (Ephesians 2:6) "I have been set free." (Galatians 5:1) What Scriptures will you speak over your life today? drop them in the comments below :)
