First I am having trouble staying in the ring after my throw, I have been trying to figure out how to control my finish for a while but I can't quite seem to crack it. Also is my first step to long? Any other tips would be much appreciated.
@Grace Jantz In the end I think the way to fix balance in the end is just repetition of the spin. I noticed most of my balance through the entire ring comes from the back of the circle. I try to focus on making the transfer from my left leg to my right leg during the spin feel smooth and going slow at the start of the spin. My coach would also have be do some spins with a 10kg medicine ball or a broom handle on my shoulders to get my arms out and work on balance without having to go pickup the discus each time.
These are flying out roughly at my pr distance. 95-110 range, had one throw go 120 today. Need advice or drills to improve severely. I have learned off youtube videos mostly so far
I'm no where near a good discus thrower but I watch a lot of instructional videos and stuff and the only flaw I can recognize is in the video with the 2kg disc ther was no form of high point. It seemed like the weight of the disc really did it's toal on the arm placement. You are an absolute beast brother
I throw at Paisley Highschool My pr is 105' My goal is 150' (shooting high) I'm working right now on dragging the disc behind my body during spin and my sweep leg
