i have my youtube in my comments, its where i put my videos of my music, i make the shorts, but im not getting seen, vidiq says im just not being found, i put in the keywords where it tells me, i change my video names to what it says, it only helped a little, right now i got maybe 5k in views, and ive been at it for im wanting to say since may or april, i got a membership to distrokid(musician plan, cant afford a whole lot), and my music is up on spotify since i think july, and i only have around 170 streams, i pitch to playlists, i do what i can, i cant even figure out how to get pitched to itunes. im very frustrated. if i have low numbers then my music isnt being heard by those who might benefit from it, its christian music, which i would also like to monetize, if you are on a fixed income you know how money can be tight and a hobby that might help is always good. help me?

I use search-based strategies myself, but that does NOT mean DistroKid, Spotify, Apple Music, or any other streaming service has approved that strategy. There is also currently NO published DistroKid rule that I have found that says: "Using a keyword automatically gets your DistroKid account banned." I do not want anyone spreading that as fact. But, ⚠️ IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE SEARCH TERMS IN YOUR SONG OR ALBUM TITLES, YOU ARE DOING IT AT YOUR OWN RISK. I AM JUST SHARING WHAT I AM DOING AND WHAT IS WORKING FOR ME. However, DistroKid DOES publish rules that are extremely relevant to this discussion. 📌 DIRECTLY FROM DISTROKID: TITLE FORMATTING DistroKid says streaming services don't accept titles containing: ("Too much extra information" or "Strange things in parentheses") DIRECT DISTROKID SOURCE: https://support.distrokid.com/hc/en-us/articles/360033900034-Release-and-Track-Title-Formatting-Issues DistroKid even gives examples on that page where descriptive genre information added to a title is removed, as well as an example involving an artist-name "type beat" phrase. This means that just because a search term accurately describes your song DOES NOT automatically mean adding that term to the title is acceptable metadata. In a recent post "lesson learned" has emerged the possibility of a recent trend of Distrokid to ban (editorial discrection email) account that are using SEO keyword in titles. What Is your take about that? Is that a real risk? Should we change our approach or use some kind of precaution? Is the same using those in titles and in the versione field or Is the latter safer?

well it happened to me 1st I just want to say Jesse congrats on all ur success. I know someone who has been doing the same thing for literally 10 plus years and would never help me or try to tell me how to do it. They currently make 40 to 60,000 a month I tried a while back and wasn't getting it anywhere. I was using CD baby as my distributor which gets really expensive and I wasn't posting that much. I thank you for all your videos you do and teaching the community. It's really awesome that you want to see everyone win anyways I just wanted to say as you mentioned before be careful with your account after watching all your videos or pretty much 80% of them I started doing industrial kid and I did three artists on one account I had roughly about 10 to 12 albums out between those three artists and I have been doing this for a month and a half I guess I was putting too many out because I just got an email from them saying editorial discretion. And now I'm screwed there was a section you had on here for that and now I can't find it anymore so I decided to create this post. Anyone have any tips or ideas on this but I think I'm just screwed on that account and I have to start over from scratch a few questions I have are: Has anyone else received that? Did you get paid for anything in the future? Could I start another distorted account under a different email even though it's still my name? As far as posting albums between artists if I post one album per week for each artist, is that OK or is that too much because it's under the same master account I know you mentioned posting one to two albums per week, but if you have three artists on one account, should you only be posting one to two albums within those three artists or one to two albums per artist per week? I definitely know I overflowed, but I was trying to get somewhere in a reasonable timeframe lesson learned and screws you in the end and you just have to take your time. I guess one good thing is I was definitely putting a lot of time every single day into it as I was making each song and if I have to space them out more, the good thing is, I will have a little bit more time not to go crazy trying to get out 1 to 2 albums per artist per week
