We all ended up here for a reason… 👀
Some people became notaries to make extra income Others wanted freedom, flexibility, or a fresh start And for some… it completely changed their life. So now we’re curious: 👉 What made YOU decide to become a notary? Was there a specific moment, person, or goal that pushed you into this industry?

I became a Notary in 2013 while working at a multi-service office, where I also offered translation services. I was studying to become a drafter, and shortly before finishing my studies, I began working in a field related to that career path. I kept my notary license active and maintained it as a side hustle. In 2021, a Loan Signing Agent came to my home for a closing; she arrived alone (even though an extra witness was required) and printed the documents directly from her cell phone—but they all came out cut off. After she left, the title company contacted me, and I ended up printing the documents for my own closing myself 🫣. I mentioned to the title company that I was a Notary, and they asked if I was also a Loan Signing Agent... After that conversation, I did some research and discovered LSS. I took the course and began accepting assignments that fit my schedule—working even less than part-time. A month ago, I made the decision to focus my energy on this career—one that has always been a part of my life, yet which I had never truly appreciated until now. I love what I do: sharing moments of joy when a family buys their first home, officiating weddings, or providing services—such as an Apostille—that save a client an unnecessary trip to a consulate where they might not even be assisted.

@Nakia Woodson I bring mine when the signing is too far, it happens already that CD was wrong and I was able to get my printer out of my car and print at the signer’s house. 😅
