light weight, medium or heavy weight material will depend on your usage, alongside if want digital or manual styles. I always love a manual machine, and having one that suits what I'm making. My fave advice is always from shop owners, they always get a lot of feedback from their customers so get chatting to a sewing shop that sells multiple makes. I wouldn't ever buy a second hand machine again, but sadly had too many negative experiences 🙌 so would always buy new.
