$9 offers?
I just e-met someone who has 4k paid subscribers to her $9/month offer... Guys, I'm having shiny object syndrome right now. While I'm busy thinking up a 1k offer, maybe in our volatile economy, a better business model is a $9 offer...

There are YT creators who have this kind of things through their memberships. Some people are successful but you obviously need a huge number of fans-community members. I was once on an online meeting -hosted by YT for creators- where one of the successful cases explained to us what she did. Her YT channel is about explaining people how to taint their hair and that kind of salon stuff... Her membership is meant for people who want "a course". She creates special videos for the community and asks for homework, which she gives feedback on personally every month. If one of the students fails a homework (meaning, she performed a crappy treatment on someone) they have to do it again... after x number of classes she gives her students her personal certificate to work on their own salon (not legal certificate, but it is not required for that kind of job in my country). She has people who help her grade the homework, edit and stuff... I think she charged less than 10 usd / month (not in the US) and she had so many students it was worth it and could even pay people to help. Also, her students have a schedule in week days when they can call her in case they are messing up someone while doing the homework. She has an extra tier (I don't remember the amount) with special benefits-classes. It is A LOT of EXTRA WORK. It works for her because she had a massive number of followers and the conversion for becoming someone who can have their personal business after the course is great. She is helping people from all kind of places, not only cities. Now, for context... you may want to google "violence in Culiacan, Sinaloa". This capital city has had serious issues for more than a year now. This person had to close her salon because it was not safe... by the time she gave this talk to us, she survived thanks to this business model. So, yeah... worth the time investment.
How was your week? (Dec 29 - Jan 2)
How did you do this week? I know the week between Christmas and New Year can be weird, but I've felt it myself... but i think I still got a lot done... Namely, I prepped for Write Without AI over and over and over again, making prompts, scrapping them, making them again... lol. So yeah, that's all... MPL 1 & 2 with the same dang offer. I also meant to update some old blog posts, but didn't get to them... hopefully next week! Now, share yours 👇 (Oh, and Happy New Year!)

I've had some hard weeks... My doggie, which I mentioned in previous posts, received a "game over" kind of diagnosis (by a quite brute veterinary) and then was refused for a change of treatment for his convulsions... I went to find a 2nd opinion and yes, the first diagnosis was wrong (phew!)... unfortunately, now I don't feel like going to the same dog neurologist since they refused to improve the convulsions treatment... and the holidays made things harder... but, we're still around and looking for options, which of course takes time. Either way, I managed to have my first "7 free emails here, give me your data" and I have set up a free online workshop in 3 weeks (I hope the first mails bring people to the workshop) and at the workshop I hope to be able to actually sell my new version of "become a science communicator course" that has 3 separate modules. I also started a new YouTube channel just yesterday with my first video: why scientists need to start being louder and hope to finish editing the second one today. This YT channel is also meant to attract the kind of people who would eventually buy my courses. So, I think I have advanced a lot in the last few weeks thanks to the fact that my full time job was on a break (University teacher, Xmas holidays). Sadly, I come back to my full time job this Friday and I already know in advance I will be having a hard time since my boss refused to take some tasks he had agreed to... public universities in my country kind of suck, but mine is a real champion in that area in so many senses... Best of luck with your efforts, everyone!

@Maliha M xD yes... people are all cranky... also, particularly in my case, some departments just don't do what they are meant to do, such as cleaning, repairing walls, installing fans or other things that are needed in the classrooms... pff... and since yesterday I have to attend a face to face course on a software... but, the software was not installed on the computers, hence... we were on a classroom being explained how the software works... I mean, I have had even more terrible courses there in the past and my expectations are always low... but, they still manage to disappoint xD
In case you missed today's email...
I'm thinking of planning a 30 day writing cohort to help folks get better at storytelling with their emails and blogs. Would you be interested?

@Maliha M I have two extra questions: 1. In one your emails, you mention the early bid discount was 150 USD, but 100 USD in another one, was the first one a typo mistake? 2. Since 2 pieces per week, from everyone are the ones reviewed... is there an estimate of the probability we have to actually have our material reviewed? (This may be hard to guess as you don't know how many people will join in the end) It is my understanding we are not sharing the homework at the skool, hence... it is only our work for ourselves, unless it is randomly chosen.

@Maliha M Ok, thanks.
How was this week, for real? (Nov 17-21)
I was very... unproductive. Didn't do much... no new products, trade secrets, masteries, or courses. Dropped the ball on both the affiliate marketing course and the new post. Oh well... one of those weeks, I guess. Aside from work, though, the week was fine. I needed some time just to myself, and I guess I kinda got it??? Anyway... share your week with us... 👇

@Rachael M he was abandoned as a puppy on the streets. I picked him up and took him to the vet... I couldn't give him away for adoption, he got my heart 💟

@Rachael M All puppies (and kitties) should have a house, toys and caring people around 💟
