Do you have a mentor? Mentors can provide insight and support. There are non-profits that offer several options - all free to us. The first 2 I have used personally and have had great results. The 3rd I know mentors on there, but haven't used the platform.: 1. American Corporate Partners: Create an account. Get paired with a mentor for the course of a year. 2. MilMentor: Create an account, then view the bios of mentors. Reach out to as many as you'd like, and talk with them once, or as many times as you're able to get on their calendar. 3. Vets2Indstry's Post-Veterati: Created after Veterati lost its funding, this is intended to be similar to MilMentor. Both were created as a result of the Veterati shut down.

Hi all! Just dropping my intro. I'm prior Navy but still a Navy spouse and Navy mom. I was brought up to respect veterans and entrepreneurs, and with that I have a few life purposes. 1. I love to connect people. Transitioning? My LinkedIn profile is built to support transitioning service members, veterans, and spouses. I connect with many people in the VSO spaces as well as recruiters. 2. I support veteran owned small businesses. My background is in business growth - from operations to sales, marketing, partnerships, and beyond. I created a podcast for veterans who offer services/products nationwide to both share their story, but to also be an inspiration for those who have considered starting their own companies, but haven't taken the leap yet. For 12 years up to last year, I helped grow a veteran owned business to the point where the owner was able to sell for $14M. It's taken me a bit to realize that this was the route that I wanted to go, but I've started a consulting and service company to do just this, but at a smaller scale so that I can help more than just one company grow. I'm looking forward to supporting where I can and learning from others!
