This week we talked about what advice you’d give to a new coach. (Read the post here.) 💛 Lots of you had thoughtful ideas to share so I thought you might like it if pulled together your Top 10 Tips for new coaches all in one place. Here we go🌟 👇 🌟 1. Start before you feel ready and your confidence will grow once you start. 🌟 2. Many new coaches wait for certainty, but confidence and understanding are usually built by coaching people, testing ideas, and learning as you go. 🌟 3. Focus on the next step and ask yourself what matters most right now instead of trying to master everything at once. 🌟 4. Learn just in time. Buy the course, hire support, or learn the skill when you need it, not all at once. 🌟 5. Get coaching hours in as the best growth comes from real practice. Time spent coaching teaches what theory cannot. 🌟 6. Be visible and keep showing up. Share your message, speak about your work and let people know how you help. 🌟 7. Collect the NOs. Rejection is part of business and every no can move you closer to the right yes. 🌟 8. Teach from your scars, not your wounds. Your lived experience is important, but healing first helps you lead with perspective. 🌟 9. Get support for yourself too. Having someone reflect your blind spots can be valuable. 🌟 10. Progress is better than perfection and consistency will take you further than waiting for the perfect plan.
